College Football 2023-Year of The Dawgs?

Very rich donors are most likely paying the players. Lots of alums pour millions back into the football programs.
The donors can't come up with hundreds of millions to pay the players for a national championship team. In a few years it is going to take $500m to have a first rate team.

National Championship betting odds are out.

Georgia is +225 followed by Alabama at +600.

Week 1 is here -Florida at Utah tonight should be a good game to kick things off.

What I don't understand is how a school like Vanderbilt is in the SEC? We need a system of relegation like English football to move teams up and down between divisions.
Agreed, and with all this crazy conference alignment going on I could see it happening.

Week 1 in the books.

Rough times in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Clemson,South Carolina and in the homes of Fans who use Spectrum!

Pac12 is undefeated... 12-0!! lol
Go Big 12!!!
Penn St. 38 West Virginia 15
Colorado 45 TCU 42 21 point dog wins
Texas St. 42 Baylor 31 28 point dog wins by 11
Wyoming 35 Texas Tech 33 13 1/2 point dog wins.

LOL the Big12 not only lost games, they lost three of the top upsets of the week.

Go Big10
Fresno St. 39 Purdue 35 3.5 point dog wins.

SEC!! SEC!!!
Utah 24 Florida 11.
Florida St. 45 LSU 24
North Carolina 31 South Carolina 17

ACC!!! ACC!!!
Tennessee 49 Virginia 13
*Northern Illinois 27 Boston College 24 7.5 point dog wins.

But the beauty of football is there is always next week and things could be different.

GREAT slate of games this weekend.

Should Clemson and/or Alabama lose, their fans will go nuts.

And if Colorado beats Oregon, Coach Prime will move to another level of press coverage(if that is possible!lol).

It was bound to happen sooner (or not much later), & I think it was very needed reality check for CO.
Pretty much every team takes a turn in the reality check lane. It's always a new day the next game.

I think it's the year of "God knows where we'll all end up." Lots of upsets and unexpectedly close games all over the map. It's an exciting year, but some hearts will be broken before it's over.

Georgia looks vulnerable.

Bowers bailed them out -he is the best player in the Country IMO.
