Good gravy. While I think FSU got royally hosed, at the end of the day, it's just football. Worse, it's football in a system that everyone knows is corrupt and subject to abuse and "interpretation." Not worth spending this much time and money on it when there are so many other, bigger problems in the world.

D) Bowl games (outside of the CFP) are meaningless and often not played in by any players with NFL Draft aspirations.

Yeah. I know of one college team that will essentially be playing its JV squad with a DC that is no longer its DC so the actual DC can go out and recruit. I mean I'll watch simply because I like to see guys that never got a shot to play play. But that game is certainly not indicative of anything. Guys going pro that don't need to make any more impression mostly don't play.

FWIW, I think it was wrong that Florida State didn't make the playoffs, but Florida has bigger issues.

A sad indication of priorities. Someone always feels cheated with these made-up playoffs. Most years, someone actually IS cheated with these made-up playoffs. There are 2 or 3 schools they seem to work really hard to make sure they're included each year. They should just go back to the days they voted for the "champion" - but the money has gotten WAY too big.

That's one benefit of the new playoff system. The top bowls will be more competitive again, with players not sitting out.

More veneer and $$$$$$ in the near future with the 'expanded playoffs'! It's insane how much money sponsors pay and colleges take in from the top football programs. It's the minor leagues for the NFL - except not all NFL coaches get paid like the college coaches! Crazy.....

I'm just waiting to see if these two teams even show up. No pregame conference. Lots of players entering transfer portal ... from good teams? Those players are questionable to play. What a mess for so many reasons.

I agree FSU should have been one of the top four, based on wins/losses THIS YEAR (only year that matters) they should be in ............... so ironic that while the state of FL is diluting the academics at state universities they are so highly focused on sports.

And if the AG wants to spend money how about addressing the insurance issues with companies charging obscene amounts of money for it's home owners. And maybe address why the huge jump in real estate taxes. Complete failure.
