College Baseball players going to WDW for the day?

My son's college baseball team will be in Orlando for a week. The guys are thinking about going to Disney for a day. With the new plan ahead fast pass can they still have fun? Will they get on the high demand rides such as space mountain or splash mountain? They will be there from March 22-27.

Can they buy their tickets in advance? That would help, because they could at least make some FP+ a few days in advance, by entering their pass numbers into an MDX account.

It will be crowded, as these are some of the busier spring break weeks, but of course they can still have fun. They can always wait standby for any ride they really want to go on.

They just have to decide if it's worth $105!
