Hi guys,

I've had the most brilliant weekend. Last night I got back from Milton Keynes where they held Collectormania 11, featuring guests from Doctor Who, Buffy, Angel, Star Wars to name but a few. This is the fourth convention I have been too and one of the best :goodvibes:

We arrived last Friday at around 1pm at Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, for Collectormania 11. We had a fantastic weekend meeting loads of guests, the highlight for me which was James Marsters from Buffy and Charisma Carpenter also from Buffy. On Saturday I had a photoshoot booked for Charisma and on Sunday a photoshoot booked with James Marsters and also booked a talk for James Marsters.

For all you fans of Doctor Who, there were lots of stands, guests and the Original Tardis used on set. K-9 and Daleks were also running round the convention. Of course, being a big fan, I had to go and buy myself a sonic screwdriver and the psychic paper wallet that the Doctor carries. :goodvibes:

Storm Troopers and many guests of star wars were also at the convention including the actor that played Darth Mahl.

Below are some of the pictures that I took this amazing weekend. :thumbsup2

Tardis and Daleks in front of it. Unfortunatly I missed them moving but the Daleks go around the convention and talk to people, usually screaming their most famous words. "EXTERMINATE!!"

Me standing with my Psychic Paper and my Sonic Screwdriver outside of the Tardis. If only I could get on the inside and see how big it REALLY was ;)

The Doctor Who atmosphere was amazing. People even turned up looking like The Doctor and also to see so many foreigners buying Doctor Who merchandise was great. :goodvibes:

Here are a few pictures of other people I met at the convention. Also includes photoshoot pictures and the James Marsters talk. :)

The photoshoot picture of Me and James Marsters which he also signed for me. Unfortunatly he wasn't personalizing :( But it was still so amazing to meet him.

Later on Sunday I attended the James Marsters talk. Here a few pictures of the best I could get. I was quite far back in the room and the lighting wasnt great, but these are the best pictures. One of the best talks ive ever been too. He was hilarious.

That looks great! Brilliant pictures, glad you had a fab time!

Looks great Vicki :thumbsup2

What sort of thing did James cover in the talk?? Was it all about Buffy and Angel, was it behind the scenes gossip and did he talk about Smallville at all??

Alan.

I was there too!

Well, buy accident as we went shopping, but I love these conventions - full of awesome memrobilia! I was close to buying the 18" statue of Jedi Mickey Mouse but at £170 it was a bit much.

I was also tempted to queue up to meet Ray 'Darth Maul' Park but I didn't have my camera and he will be at Celebration Europe (big Star Wars convention in July) so I will meet him there.

I was most excited to see Billy from Gremlins!

Great photos, bit jealous that you met Charisma ;)

It looks fab!

I went to a James Marsters talk years ago in Birmingham and it was great, I also queued forever outside Forbidden Planet in Leeds to get a photo with Amber then drove to Manchester later in the day to get another!

Well in the talk it was mostly question and answer. First of all one of the guys, who knows James and has been friends with him for a while went up on stage with him and asked about 6 questions, just silly little questions like "What did you do last night after the convention?" in which James replied "Ahhh.. I had 1 and a half beers and watched Doctor Who" Greatest answer he could have given in my opinion ;) Then they had people from the audience go and line up to ask questions. The questions varied. Some were about Buffy and Angel and some were on his concerts and music and some were just on his personal life and general questions. He didnt, however, talk about Smallville :( Which I was a little dissapointed but it was still great all the same. There was only one thing that was mentioned similar, which was the Superman Cartoons that were on years ago which he did the voice for Lex Luthor, someone had asked if they could give any information on it and he replied with "I spoke in a very deep voice like this, and rememberd I was bald" Everyone had a blast. The laughter didnt stop.:goodvibes

It was great wasn't it. I didnt see that Mickey figure but it does sound great. I did see the canvas that was on one of the stalls of Mickey mouse and the detail on it was absolulty fantastic. I also like looking at the Disney pin trading stalls as well. The amount of pins that are there are fantastic. Great to see Disney stuff around. :goodvibes:

He's great in the talks. It was the first time ive met James and I was so excited. He's definatly one of the best guests ive ever met. :goodvibes He's really funny when he did the talk, no body could stop laughing. It went on for just over 2 hours and it was only meant to be on for an hour. :rotfl: Everyone wanted him to keep talking.

I met Amber last year. She is so kind and lovely. I remember I was in the queue to meet her and I was so nervous. But when I got up to meeting her, she was so down to earth. :) I'd like to meet her again.

Wow Vicki, the convention looked fab and you looked like you were having a great time. Love your piccies - glad you enjoyed it

Mandy :)

Looks Great!

DH is very jealous (not least because you met Charisma Carpenter   )

Thanks for sharing

Well, much of this is completely over my head, Vicks, but glad you had such a great time. Your hair looks lovely - it really suits you. Oh, and the photo of the Dr Who merchandise stand - admit it, you just wanted a picture of the hottie on the right! :rotfl: ;)

Even worse, it made me go back and look

Me three :rotfl:

The Disney pin stand was amazing - made my collection look tiny in comparison.

My geek mode went into overdrive when I saw the stand selling Star Wars clothing and the realisation that I could be clothed in 'genuine' Jedi Knight garments!

Vicki? The Paper is blank! ;) :lmao:

Glad you had a good time. I probably would of been mesmerised by the Doctor Who Stuff.. :rotfl:

Hottie, what hottie, where, where, even I had to go back and have a look, and Ive seen these photos more than a dozen times;) Great piccies hon and I know how much you enjoyed your day, bet you cant wait for the next one:goodvibes

I'm soooooooooooo jealous I love Buffy, Angel and Smallville. Spike was my second fav character, after Buffy of course. Plus Milton Keynes isn't that far from me. How do you find out about these things?

No way Buffy was better than Angel:lmao:

Glad you had a good time. I am surprised James is still doing conventions considering Buffy and Angel has finished. Looked great. Pity David (Angel) wasnt there. Now that would certainly of made me jelous :lmao:

Great pics.
