Hi,
Just wondering how difficult would it be to collect every Disney movie ever produced, assuming you wanted just one copy of each, whether that be on VHS, DVD or whatever format, as long as it is original (no copies!)?

There is a list on Wikipedia (List of Disney Movies)

http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Disney_movies

Has anyone done this? Or doing this? Are there any that are particularly difficult to get hold of or very expensive? How much would the whole collection cost roughly? Any tips?

I am tempted!

Thanks,
Matthew

I just spot checked a couple of the movies on Amazon and it looks like most of them are available.

The only one I know you will have a problem with is Song of the South (the one splash mountain is based on). This one was never release for home viewing in America. You can sort of get around this by getting a specific version of Alice and Wonderland. The bonus materials have some (possibly all) of the cartoons from the movie.

Song of the South is very easy to find on dvd. Just search Google and tons of places come up.

I'm sort of doing this. Me and my cousin are making it a goal to watch every single Disney movie released and in the process we are buying them as well. Yet the way we collect is by focusing on a collection, such as the Masterpiece Collection, and then proceed to get all movies in said collection. We do doubles, simply because it is a different experience and are completists with collections. Naturally some are hard to find and we haven't seen yet, but that's part of the fun. (Note: we but all the movies in person: That means thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, used book stores, new from big box stores. It's a chase alright)
