Cold here; warm there

So, we don't usually fly to Orlando, and when we drive, we don't go straight to the parks (i.e., we can change clothes). What do you wear when you are flying in from cold weather and are going straight to the parks?

TIA!

Well, I don't go straight to the parks - I check into my hotel first so that I can change clothes. But on the plane I wear a sweatshirt over a long-sleeved T-shirt or turtleneck and jeans, and carry a short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts in my carry-on since I use the DME and take advantage of the luggage delivery service, which means I'm not getting my checked luggage right away. I actually don't take a coat with me because I don't want to deal with a bulky coat on the plane - I either leave it in my car (I drive and park at on offsite parking facility) or I don't take it at all. (You're outside so little, it's really not a big deal to not have a coat on.) While I do understand wanting to get to the parks as soon as possible, I just don't understand not wanting to check in to the hotel first and at least dropping off my luggage and making sure the room is OK.

On the rare occasions that we fly, we use ME, so we don't go directly to the parks. We pack a change of clothes in our carryons and change either at the airport or at the resort before heading to a park.

If you are renting a car at the airport, change clothes there and leave your stuff in the trunk ( note that I DO NOT recommend leaving your luggage in the trunk of your car. I think you are taking a needless risk. Much safer to go to your resort and leave your stuff with Luggage Services ).

While it is certainly not the ideal situation, if we go, it will be a short trip - and without kids - so we want to maximize park time. @minnie mum - that's a good suggestion to pack a change of clothes in a carry on. I'm just not a seasoned airline traveler...

I live in Boston and it was a balmy 28 degrees farenheit yesterday. I leave in 9 days but had I left yesterday, I would wear jeans, T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, hoodie sweatshirt and suffer being a little cold for a short time.

In my carry on, I would have a change of warm weather clothes and room to put my current clothing in. But would most likely just change my jeans for shorts and take off the long sleeve t-shirt and hoodie.

Leave the bag in the car, at bell services, or in a locker.

I just painted a picture of someone calmly adjusting to the conditions. But the picture really will look like some running down the beach to the water scrambling to get their clothes off before they hit the water in a big splash.

Convertible pants (the sort with zip-off legs), and layers: t-shirt, zipper hoodie, down vest, and lined windbreaker. The down vest compresses into a small sack. In colder weather, I might add a long sleeve shirt (rugby or similar) between the t-shirt and hoodie.
