I am hoping to enjoy some great coffee while at Aulani. Can I easily find Kona coffee to brew every morning?

Yes you can! I dont remember if Kalepas store in the lobby has any but I know the ABC/Island Country Market across the street carries some, they are like a little boutique-y grocery store with lots of staples, a deli, fresh and frozen foods etc. There is also a place called Island Vintage Coffee in that little plaza as well and they sell higher end stuff like peabody and island reserve. We have never tried them though so I cannot comment on if it is worth it (some are, some are not-totally depends on where it comes from) I find my best price for ground pure Kona coffee is Target and Safeway, just an fyi!

Oh and you can get it by the cup down at Ulu but you need to ask for it and they will do it behind the counter for you, about $5/cup

I'm excited. I grind my own beans at home and hope to bring some whole beans back to NJ. I threatened to bring my grinder to WDW, but concerns about TSA curbed my enthusiasm. I just ground a stockpile of beans before we left home. Really made the luggage smell great!

TSA doesn't hassle me with my Aeropress/Rhinoware grinder setup.

When I was on Oahu over the new year, Costco was selling a 1 lb. bag of Kauai Coffee peabody beans for something like $15. Quite a steal!

There is no problem bringing a grinder on board.

For those looking to buy Kona coffee, be sure you read the label closely. You'll see "Kona" in large type on many of the bags, but if you read closer you'll often see "blend". Be sure that package says 100% Kona coffee when you buy.
