Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how ans where to get a good coffee in Disney. The last 2 years I could not get a decent cup if my life depended on it. My plan this year is to make some in my room before we head out to the parks. I will use bottled water and bring coffee. I wonder though if anyone has any other tips?
Do you make coffee in your room?
Is there a favorite spot at the different parks that you like to buy coffee at?
Any help is appreciated.

We also make good coffe in the room and use take-go cup in the morning and carry Starbucks via coffee pk in our bag. If I need coffee during the day, I ask for hot water at any CS and add Via coffee. It's good strong coffee which I need at Disney. If I'm at Swan/Dolphin, I stop by their cafe for coffee also. Kona also has nice coffee.

Hello fellow coffee lover! Each visit to Disney, we face the same dilemma. BUT there are a few spots where you can score a good-to-great tasting cup of coffee. First and foremost is the Kona Cafe where you can enjoy a french press pot of 100% pure Kona - so go there if staying onsite. The Kona serves a very nice breakfast and we've been for dinner too - first time on our last trip and it was among the best meals.

At Hollywood Studios, the Writer's Stop makes above average coffee and at Animal Kingdom, there is a free-standing cart in Asia that has wonderful coffee. I would love to hear if anyone else has discovered some better cups around the World!

I know this will be hard to believe, but we had great coffee at Tusker House..I too brought it from home, however, the new coffee maker at the CBR used little round pouches so I had to trim my filters..but....I must say, Folgers came thru for me every morning:)

Thanks everyone! It is always good to know where to get a great cup! With 3 little ones and long days coffee has become one of my essential daily needs. I didn't realize how badly one could butcher a cup of coffee until we travelled. Many a cup I almost spit out. I am very thankful for the tips and hope to be able to score some good coffee this visit. I don't even ask about getting a good cup of tea anymore, I know enough to just ask for boiling water and supply my own bag.
Thanks for the tip about the CBR coffee makers being small. I wonder if I can buy little pouches of coffee to fit the little machines.
Off to search and find out!
If anyone else has a favorite spot for coffee, please keep em coming. We will be in the World for 14 days, our longest trip ever...I will definitely need COFFEE! lol

This is probably a thread about coffee within the WDW complex. However, there is a dunkin donuts on route 535, right across from the Sheraton Safari. Start your day off properly.

Another vote for Kona. But if you can't get to the Poly most mornings, I would pack your own. Where are you staying? I did also find that Pepper Market at CSR made a decent latte.

But I did quit my daily Starbucks habit cold turkey thanks to a week of Disney. It was probably the most expensive way I could detox off of it. :rotfl:

I'm thinking about sending a package to the resort that includes a 1 cup coffee maker since we are staying at Pop. I don't think there are coffee makers in the room.

Is this going overboard, or should I just suck it up and purchase a refillable mug for coffee each morning. I just think it will be a pain to have to run to the food court while I'm getting ready each morning for a cup of coffee.

I don't remember if there was a coffee maker in the room or not, but I got the refillable mug and grabed a cup of coffee in the Pop food court every morning on my way to the bus stop, it was very convienent (assuming you are bussing it).

Of course, by "cup of coffee" I mean "hot water" to drop my own Foldger's Single in! :rotfl2: But when I felt a little crazy I put some hot cocolate in too to flavor it up.

Hi Leitadala! I am "bussing" it! LOL! So excited...BUT, I MUST have coffee first thing...decisions decisions! The little packets of Starbucks might not be a bad option. Do you have to have a refillable mug just to get hot water?

Thanks for the suggestion!! :upsidedow

I'm a total coffee snob, so packing my own coffee is not below me. I can only do instant coffee in an absolute emergency.

Now I haven't gone as far as to buy the 1 cup Keurig to travel with, but that's not far in the future.

Once you get used to "good" coffee, there is no going back! LOL! :rotfl:

Last trip - I packed a four cup coffee maker in my suitcase.... with supplies of course! After one prior trip to ASMusic with no coffeemaker in the room - never again and horrible resort coffee - never again. I was expecting to abandon it because I wouldn't have room to bring it back - but I bought smaller souvenirs than expected :rotfl:

I can't tell you absolutely, but I'm fairly sure that they won't mind if you bring your own mug for hot water, as most places give hot water for free (or for the charge of a cup), but some will charge you for "tea." My best suggestion for a worry-free cup of coffee if you aren't buying the refillable mug would be to bring a small electric kettle. We've done that on lots of trips so we can have coffee and oatmeal in the room. I don't know if we're bringing it this time though, we might have to save luggage room. Have fun on your trip!

Just joining... My hubby needs his coffee and he hates the coffee there
