First, I want to confirm that there is a coffee maker in the room. Second, what type of coffee is provided? Third, what shape are the coffee filters - I am assuming the basket shaped filter? I like good coffee and will probably bring some with me unless I hear rave reviews about the provided coffee.

I haven't stayed at GC before, only DL and PP and in those cases you need to ask for a coffee pot to be delivered to the room., They are happy to do so but the pot is not already there. If you like good coffee, take your own, it was back coffee. Sm 4 cups pots with small filter baskets.

Well, there is that dried creamer stuff (YUCKO) and sugar packets. Honestly, you'd be best off heading down to Whitewater, Storytellers or Hearthstone Lounge to get yourself some real coffee in the mornings.

We plan to to MM and be out the door by 6:30 so I don't think anything is open at that time. Also, depending on our room location, it could be quite a walk just to get coffee when we are trying to rush to get out. I don't mind the non-dairy creamer so that's okay.

Last year when I stayed at GC there were small 4 cup coffee makers in the room, pre packaged rounds of coffee don't remember what brand but I can't say I remember it being bad. there were pre packaged sugar and creamers. hope that helps.

frankly, the in-room coffee was undrinkable.

don't know if it was the coffee, or the water--but it was awful.

4 cup makers in the room in March. I think they had basket filters. Don't remember the brand of coffee, we didn't use it. I would guess it was the water that made it taste bad; the tap water was awful. I wouldn't even rinse my mouth out with it after brushing my teeth. If you use bottled water it should taste ok.

The coffee didn't bother me..Not GREAT but certainly drinkable. I did buy some of those little pre packaged Maxwell House rounds in case I needed them, but I didn't, so don't know if the rounds have too much grounds for the little coffee maker or not.

I just always bring my own French press and my own coffee - keep creamer in the fridge (no powdered stuff - yucky!!). That way I know the coffee is always good :thumbsup2

The coffee makers are small, the coffee was just o.k. You need small filters if you want to bring your own coffee. The bookstore at the end of DTD nearest to the DL hotel opens earlier than the coffee shop at the end closest to the main gates. Our room was in the wing over DTD and it was a LONG HIKE to get to the elevators.

Where is the closest convenient store to buy a gallon of water? I recall the water at a Phoenix resort was the culprit behind the bad coffee and it was fine once I started using their filtered water (which they conveniently provided free near the pools - do they do this at the GCH by any chance?).
