I see people talking about codes could you explain to me

When Disney offers discounts for their hotels, they have codes associated with the codes. Right now they are running an advertisement for a family of 4 to stay at the value resorts for 1500. There is a code associated with that discount. There are also discounts for AAA members and for Florida residents and people who buy annual passes.
At times there have also been other discounts offered, although lately there have not been any. Each discount would have some code. Sometimes these codes are available to the general public, and other times they are more restrictive.
This site is a good place to look for discounts and codes when and if they become available.
