People on the resort forum section are talking about watching for codes to be released. Are the codes applicable to the campsites? We will be staying in a preferred loop with DDP for 8 nights. We reserved our package through AAA. Does anyone know if the campsites are ever included in the code reductions?

Yes and no. :goodvibes

Sometimes the campsites are included in the code discounts, and sometimes they're not. They're definitely NOT included in the Free Dining discount.

FYI - when using a Code, you cannot use AAA at the same time. Disney will not double-up on discounts. It's one or the other. Usually the code discount is better, but not always.

Many of the codes that are currently available are published on mousesavers.com. Just FYI.

We were lucky and got to use one last year. It wasn't a big amount but every little bit helps. I am hoping for one this year.
Keep looking out for them.

I use the AAA discount, 20% off campsites during the Value season (we'll be there 8/5-8/12). The discount is 15% during Regular, Peak and Summer seasons. Naturally there is no discount available during Holiday season. There are a limited number of AAA discounts available and one may not be available during your planned stay. My advice is to make your reservation anyway then call back every four or five days and ask if there is a AAA discount available that can be applied to your reservation. You will be credited the difference. I did this for our trip and was refunded approximately $75. You may also be able to save a few $s by booking directly through he CRO instead of a travel agent (they always want their cut). One thing I do not know however, is if you can always get the AAA discount by booking through AAA. But then, depending on their fee, you may be lucky to break even.

I have to respectfully disagree. :)

When you book through Dreams Unlimited (sponsor of these boards) they will give you the lowest-possible price. They even keep checking back for discounts until you travel, and will apply any discount that's available! They do not charge any fees, and they get paid from Disney after you travel.

It's a great way to book your trip and not have to worry about whether or not you're getting lowest price/discount available. They will even put together an customized itinerary for you, complete with all the park hours and show/fireworks schedules, and make all of your advance dining reservations for you!

:worship: Well, I stand corrected.

I have had an aversion to travel agents for several years. I find it fun to research and book trips myself. Maybe I'll give Dreams Unlimited a try for next years trip. A co-worker is getting ready to plan a trip so I'll pass this along. Thanks.

If Dreams Unlimited gives you the lowest prices possible and no travel agent fees, how do they stay in business. Was going to try using them for our next trip, but am a little suspicious...if it sounds too good....:confused3

Dreams gets paid a percentage of the total package amount, from Disney, after you travel. They don't charge any extra fees on top of that. :)

They are very unique in the way they treat their clients. Here's a link to more information: Dreams Unlimited

Just contacted Dreams Unlimited. Guess I figured since this was posted on FW board that they took camping reservations. They only handle the cabins, not camping sites. Guess I'll call CRO and go with AAA discount.

Does the AAA code apply to packages or just campsites? Thanks.

You can use the AAA discount for camp sites. During the Value season, which began 7/29 at FW, the discount is 20%. During the Regular and Peak seasons the discount is 15%. The AAA discount is not available during the Holiday season and I don't know about the Pre-Holiday season. There are a limited number of AAA discounts available per month. See post #6 above.

Bye the bye, we leave tomorrow for 7 wonderful days at Ft. Wilderness. I'm so excited I could plotz! :dancer:
