Any help much appreciated! Just trying to decide between the Hampton Inn and courtyard marriot at cocoa beach.

We are staying there two nights before heading to Wyndham bonnet creek. Can't figure out which hotel is better. We will have a car.

This is over Easter!

I'm sorry I can't help with the hotel decision, but I'm excited to see someone else going to Cocoa Beach. Are you there for the ocean, Kennedy Space Center, something else, or some combination?
We're doing a day at KSC, and I'd like to spend an hour or two at the beach to get the kids into the Atlantic. Is this feasible? Any preferred beach spots?

We are doing a day in KSC as well! It's over Easter so I'm still researching.... We are only there for 2 nights, so I think we may just ocean/beach it in the morning before we leave.

KSC is a full day thing, I think. We are doing lunch with astronaut, etc.

When are you going?!

We were in Disney for 2 weeks over this summer. Decided to take a break from Disney and drove up to Cocoa Beach. It was crazy busy but it was the 4th of July.
We had to pay 20 dollars to park and 35 dollars for 2 chairs and an umbrella I had to drag out by the beach and drag back myself. But it was a nice break from Disney.

I can't comment on these specific hotels. I travel for work, and have stayed in both brands extensively.

The Courtyard is a "step up" in the Marriott family, so it may be a little (very little in my experience) nicer. They usually have a bar inside. The breakfast will not be included, but it's a better breakfast (omelet station and more selection).

Hamptons are the "entry level" Hilton and usually decent - they are more comparable to the Fairfield in the Marriott family. They have good beds usually and a good free breakfast (waffle station, scrambled eggs, pastries, etc).

If they cost the same, I would probably stay at the Hampton for the free breakfast. The Courtyard isn't that much better to justify spending more or paying for the breakfast.

Thank you, those are exactly the kind of details I need, like knowing I need to budget for the parking at least.

I have stayed at both. They are actually owned by the same "group" Marriott was much nicer than the Hampton Inn. But you get free Breakfast at Hampton. Location is identical!

Thanks! We ended up choosing Hampton inn bc of the free parking and free breakfast. We won a trip to KSC, and they gave us hotel choices-- so it's not out of our pocket (except taxes on ARV)!!
