HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! My sweet Coach is the big 4-0 today. I can't say he looks the same as when I first met him, he was only 17. But I can definately say he's like a fine wine, he's gotten better with age. Zach made the cutest poster for your B-day. Of course he had to use every sticker he could find and I don't think there is an empty spot on that poster. You're a great husband, Daddy, friend and we are lucky and blessed to have you in our lives!!! Have a great day.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! It means a lot. I have to tell you.. the big 4 -0 didn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it might.. I feel great, I'm in the best shape of my life, and life is good....

Dining Update- Alisa has informed me about this "super food court" type deal at Coronado that is supposed to be awesome.. any of you have any experience or knowlege of it.. I think it's called "Peppers" or something like that???


I'm really leaning toward going out of pocket for T-rex.. I think my boys would really like it..

How is everyone doing? Brave teacher and her husband have got to be getting excited as well.. I just know Megan is freaking out with all the awesome pictures of their home resort- Kidani!!!!

The updates will be just a bit further apart now.. we have begun spring football practice here at ST, but I will try to update whenever I can.. I'll have one up by the weekend if not before.

We are now inside of 30 days 'til the summer trip, I'm so excited


We have decided that we will not be doing the "matching t-shirts" as much this trip, as the iron-on parts tend to get a bit hot and sticky in the Florida heat. So look for regular t-shirts, underarmor gear, and bathing suits for the Boquet's at WDW in one month!!!

Fitness update- I am now trying the P90X home training system (you know, the one you see on TV all the time) to see how far I can push my 40 year old body. I have a bet set for the end of next month with a buddy of mine.. so I'm trying to do the program (it is VERY challenging to say the least) to see how much I can improve on my fitness.

So after the Magic Kingdom day, we had reserved a dinner at Ohana's restaurant inside the Polynesian Resort. We had heard from one of the coaches at ST that it was really good. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet there many times (it is fantastic as well btw), so we decided to give the dinner a shot. Now keep in mind this whole trip I had been eating really well for the most part, I also got up every morning very early to work out, so I was doing really good with my fitness up to this point...

Here we are arriving at the resort:

Here is the only shot I took in the restaurant:

Why?? Because I was too busy eating!!!

Here's how it happened:

1. First they bring you some fantastic coconut bread... (warm, melt in your mouth....ummmmmm)
2. Then they bring you a salad..(fresh, cold.. delish)
3. Then they bring you some pasta dish (mmmmmmm)
4. Then they bring you the dipping sauces.. each one.. fantastic....

Everyone is "Cousin" by the way.. they always call you cousin.. as in.. "How is everything, Cousin?".. and if you want some more.. they say, "absolutely, right away, Cousin!"

5. Then comes the meat... Pork, Chicken.. Steak.. and then... shrimp... everything is grilled (which is pretty healthy)...

I was doing good.. I ate small portions of each...and I was quite full but the I had three skewers of shrimp.. 'cause it was SO GOOD...

So now I"m stuffed.. and I'm feeling pretty bad about how much I ate.. but I did enjoy it.. then.....

THEY BRING OUT THE BREAD PUDDING WITH VANILLA ICE CREAM

I knew I was in trouble.....

My first reaction was.. "no thanks... I'll pass"...

Then I saw my step-dad's face as he took a bite... it was a look of sheer pleasure and happiness.. I knew I had to take a "taste"..


Well I took a small portion.. took one bite and said "anyone want anymore?"....

All I can say is.. thank God they did not bring out two plates of it.. 'cause I seriously would have tried to eat all of it..

It was one of the best things I have ever had in my mouth in a long time... it was simply spectacular... I could not stop eating it...!!!!

I was SICK for the next three hours straight.. and a good portion of the next day...

Was it worth it???? OH YEAH



If you have not been to Ohana's for supper yet.. BOOK IT NOW FOR YOUR NEXT TRIP... YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY.. Except when you are done eating

After that.. we were able to do some more "firsts"

It was a great ending to a great day.... and we headed back to SSR.. with the Daddy and all...

Next Up.. just the Boquet's to DHS...

I thought it was understood that we all have some sort of disease.

We are actually considering cancelling T-Rex. Not too sure about the loud meteor shower. SInce it occurs every 20 minutes complete with the roaring of every dinosaur in the place, I would hate for Coop to be freaked out before we even get a chance to eat. We are still chatting.

BTW, Bryan decided to stick with leaving at 4.

We decided on midnight departure for the last trip... we both just said.. what's the difference between 3 am and midnight... just a few hours.. heck.. let's just leave at midnight!!!

Here are our updated starter plans as of this weekend for our upcoming summer trip:


Friday midnight- Depart, drive straight through.
Friday afternoon- check in SSR Hit AK..
Friday evening (If I'm still awake ) - Perhaps take the boys to see "UP" in Disney 3D!!!!
Sat- Open.. whatever the kids wanna do....perhaps epcot??? Saturday pm.. Wolfgang puck..
Sunday- Star Wars Weekend at DHS.. 12:50 reservation at Mama Melrose
Sunday pm????
Monday- Typhoon Lagoon all day
Tuesday- Blizzard Beach all day with the Trahans
Wednesday- Magic Kingdom
Thursday- free.. up to kids..
Friday am - one more park before we drive halfway to chipley...

Only other thing is that we are probably going to try "Peppers" counter service at Coronado Springs during this stay.. Alisa wants to give it a shot..she's heard good things about it..

I'm easy.. especially when it comes to food...
