I work in a small office. There are only three women who use the ladies room, so I know which one is the guilty party...

One of the women in my office does *something* in there every time she uses the bathroom. It always smells like a cross between a sewer and a locker room after she uses it. Every single time. I went out and bought a can of air freshener and left it in there. Does she use it? Of course not.

On top of that, she doesn't wash her hands after using the toilet. I've walked in right behind her and after gagging on the smell, notied the skid marks in the toilet--and the bone dry sink or lack of paper towels in the garbage can first thing in the morning. Now I'll admit I'm a bit of a germophobe, but it really skeeves me. I've been known to Clorox wide the light switch, toilet handle and door knob several times a day because I know she's unsanitary.

I swear I just want to vomit.

I just walked in there and she had stopped up the toilet wit what looks to be about half a roll of TP and left it like that for someone else to clean up.

(Yes, this is the same one who drops staples on the floor next to the photo copier instead of leaning five inches further to drop them into the garbage can.)

Hopefully it is not the boss, so you have someone to talk to about the problem.

Good luck!

:crazy2: That is just nasty. How can you NOT wash your hands after going to the bathroom??

Nothing wrong with reminding her that she didn't wash her hands. Or you could put up a sign reminding everyone to wash after using the facilities.

That is just laziness on her part.

I don't expect people not to smell, but there's really no excuse for not cleaning up after yourself or washing your hands.

that's just disgusting!! It's a delicate subject. I would maybe print out a piece of paper that says "Please remember to wash your hands before leaving the facilities" or something to that effect and taping it on the back to the door or where she can see it before she leaves! If you continue to notice that she doesn't wash her hands, I'd talk to your boss. Don't make it sound like you are tattling, say you are having concerns about everyone's health.

Can't really do anything about the smell, as nasty as it is...all you can do is keep a can of Oust or something similar and maybe if you go in right after her use it to cover it up!

Ugh, wish I hadn't opened this thread while eating my lunch!

That's absolutely disgusting...especially not washing her hands...this is the difference between men and woman...men will say something to another guy that would do that...woman are much more polite for a lack of a better word...has anyone ever said anything to this gross person :confused3

Actually, I think I would say something to her directly. If she is leaving behind a mess, she should have to clean it up.

:crazy2: Something needs to be said to her, especially about the messes she leaves behind.

That's gross. And a tough one to resolve besides. If there were more people using the restroom, the sign would be less obvious to the "offender" - but I think desperate times call for desperate measures - put up a sign.

Something subtle on the sign, like:

"Please flush, spray and wash hands after dropping the mother load"

:rotfl2: :lmao:

There's a woman like that in my office, too. She brings in the news paper and spends a good 15 - 20 minutes dropping off her kids at the pool. One day, she made such a horrendous mess in the can, it looked like she bent over at her waist and sprayed the walls with diareah, that another co-worker actually screamed when she went in the bathroom. The handyman who was called in to clean up the mess swore something fierce. I think this woman washes her hands, though, so maybe she is not quite as gross as your co-worker.

I agree with the sign idea.

At my last job we had one person who consistently left pee on the seat. It was easy to tell who was doing it as there were so few of us and certain people were in the office certain days. So we made a "please be neat and wipe the seat" sign. I'm not saying it solved the problem but it made us feel better! :thumbsup2

P.S. "drop her kids off at the pool" !!! lol :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I hung a sign in my old office

If you sprinkle when you tinkle
be a sweetie, wipe the seatie

Childish? yup, but so is leaving a mess like your mom is coming through after you, though as a mom I don't even want to do that- my five year old knows to check for drops
