CNBC Poll - Should Eisner Go?

You might want to check again. When I looked, only 38% said "Yes". There are people out there who actually think Eisner is doing as well as anyone could under the recent conditions.

I just voted, and the results were pretty lopsided with most thinking he should stay. Apparently those voters aren't true Disney freaks, or it might be going the other way.

::yes::

Its 40/60 right now.

Remember this isn't a presidential election. Just like shareholder vote going on right now, under 50% no is not automatically good for Eisner...

How many other CEOs would get a 40% vote for his/her ouster? Not many...

For what its worth, its now at 77% for him leaving...

And no, I didn't vote more than once. It wouldn't let me. ;)

I just put my vote in and it is Yes time for him to go @ 77% and no @ 23%.

I just voted, and it's 81% to 19% that he should go.

There was an original poll with several thousand votes...then it was started again. Interesting to see after several thousand votes it is at the level it was before again.

I just hope that in getting Eisner out, they'll find someone appropriate for the company. Even if Eisner is ousted, they could still replace him with someone just as bad or even worse. Scary thought!

I'm not saying whether he should stay or go. However, even if the majority of the shareholders say they don't want him, he is not automatically out. It is up to the board to make that decision since he is basically unopposed on the proxy ballot. That being said, a board that doesn't listen to its shareholders will lose shareholders. IMHO, they will not remove him as CEO. They will probably remove him from the board. That reduces his power. Just my guess, for what it's worth.
