CM's@OKW are the best! I need an address to expess my gratitude

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the staff at OKW.

We were at Epcot two weeks ago. My 12year old went into the store Mouse Gear, which is a huge store. I went after her but she was no where in sight, she was gone. My family and I looked for her for 30 minutes.

We went to guest relations to call our room, our rule is to head back to the hotel room if ever seperated. There was no answser, so Dh went back to the room. I waited there and call the room again Dh answered but our Dd was not there. So now I am getting worried. It has been close to an hour.

The CM's at guest relation then called OKW's front desk. She was there!! Off I go to OKW.

Since Dd did not have her room key she went to the front desk to get another one. But the CM's did not want her out by herself (it was after 9pm). So CM Jason sat with her the entire time and they watched movies and had ice cream.

The staff at OKW looked after my Dd, they took responsibility for her untill I could get there. I am so pleased with their actions.
I have to write a thank you letter and I am not sure where to send it. Does anyone have an address for such letters?

Disney CMs are truly wonderful. They give a whole new meaning to the words customer service. Every once in a while you run into a CM who is so-so but on the whole we have found all Disney CMs to be fantastic!
I am sure you could write a letter to the manager at OKW to let him/her know about the excellent treatment your family received from these CMs. These CMs certainly deserve to get recognition, what a great story!

Over on the News and Rumors Board there is a list of addresses at WDW. There is also a list of personnel. According to that list, the General Manager of OKW is Sonya Deese-Byrnes. The address of the OKW Resort is:1510 North Cove Road, Lake Buena Vista, Fl. 32830. Good Luck. I agree that the OKW CM's are great--and they deserve to receive letters of priase!!

We met Sonya once. She is a great lady. From what I understand she was the original resort manager for OKW, and presently is the General Manager for OKW-HH-VB resorts.

In fact the restaurant at VB is named after her.

I'm sure she'll appreciate hearing from you.

Here's another suggestion-Somewhere on these boards (community ?) is info about a pin we can give to CMs for service above & beyond. Part of a program called "What Would Walt Do?", I think. Maybe someone could offer the specifics here (can't remember WHERE I saw it) and you might want to consider it.

There is a website with the information about the pins. The address is:

You can order the pins there. The way I understand it, is that you give out a pin to a CM who has gone out of his/her way to something 'magic' for you. Our DD received one of these pins which is how I found out about them. I plan on ordering some for our next trip. The CM's deserve some special treatment for all of their hard work.
