Hey All...

Just a head's up.

I just called to add a day to my trip next week :cheer2: and needed to change my DME arrival information accordingly.

I very rarely fly Southwest, but had a huge credit due to my son changing a bunch of flights he had scheduled for the upcoming year. So, I used these.

Typically, I fly JetBlue which participates in the resort check-in, etc.

Anyway - my departure information did not need to be changed and I was aware that I would not be able to check my luggage at the hotel upon departure.

However, when I asked the CM to change my flight info for my arrival - she told me: "Southwest is not a participating airline. You will have to retrieve your luggage yourself and then proceed to the Welcome Center."

I questioned her on this (because it didn't make sense to me). :confused3 She again confirmed this. I had my doubts (being a very frequent WDW visitor - 5 visits last year) and came right here to check on it.

I am going to call WDW back to confirm my date change on my DME ressie. However, I'm posting this to all those who may be told incorrect info by a CM. Anyone can utilize the luggage transfer on arrival (as long as a reservation with DME is made). Only those flying on participating airlines may utilize the luggage transfer service upon departure.

It boggles my little pea brain, that after more than a year of DME operation, CM's are still handing out incorrect info!!! I wish I could sit there and correct them. There are a lot of people that depend on CRO to give them the right info!!! And for them to be given bad info is just wrong......if we can all figure out how DME operates, can't the CM's??

Its been over five (10?) years since WDW started running busses for the early morning breakfasts and the CMs at WDW dining STILL say that if you don't have your own car, you will need to take a taxi. I've even read posts here that (if you didn't have your own car) the CM wouldn't even take the ressie in the first place.
