CM seriously messed up my reservation. I am so upset.

I had a problem once, where I made a payment that didn't show up but had been billed to my credit card. To make a long story short, I was told they have a "front office system" and a "back office system" and they are not well integrated. The front office system did not show my payment but the back office system did and they had to manually update the front office system

If you just call on the phone, the run-of-the-mill reservation agent can only get into the front office system but not the back office system. If they have to do something unusual, they may have to go, or get someone with authority to go, into the back office system.

I'll bet this is in part the source of these problems. Maybe one address in the front office system, which is current, but if there's a problem or for some other reason, they go to the back office system to do some type of more thorough work - but wait - the info in the back office system is wrong, and they don't realize it, because they don't use the back office system in the usual reservation process. The systems aren't integrated to match updates in addresses, etc. This is my guess.
 
Also, don't discount the Post Office messing up. Have you been getting some of your ex's mail? If so, did he put in a forwarding order from your address to his address for his mail? The PO could randomly forward mail to him even if was addressed to you. I've had that happen.

Worse, I once had the PO return all my mail to sender for weeks informing each sender (wrongly) of my "new" address even though I had not moved - my ex had moved and put in a forwarding order in his name only - and some companies "updated" my address in their records based on the PO's incorrect notice to them, without checking with me. So some banks, etc. then had my ex's new address on file as my address. Could something like that have happened, I wonder?
 
OMG! I Finally got everything BF needed! He was having a heart attack over this. I had to call on Monday to talk to the Guest Relations person and tell him that we STILL did not have everything for BF and his kids. So he called over to the ticket people and they UPSed the rest to me... and we FINALLY got today. We leave in 6 days... a little close for comfort.

Anyway, I just thought I would update you all and let you know that things were resolved.

This was not a PO issue. The address WDW used was incorrect.

But, I have to say that you have me totally freaked out about the whole PO thing! Yikes!
 

I used to work for RCI and exes would call to try to cancel trips their ex and new SO had planned. If there wasn't any notes on the account saying they were divorced etc..then we had to cancel it. It was awful :( I hope they have made a note on the account to not cancel anything without certain verifications.

The Guest Relations person put on my account that if something was to be mailed to another address, that they had to call me to confirm. Thank heavens.
 
I don't see how it was not intentional. BF lives at his own address. I live at my own address. EX lives at his own address. EXs address was MY former address. BF Never lived there. There is no way at all BF could be attached to my former address. I traveled to WDW last year while I was living here, my current address. Disney clearly has my correct information. There is no logical explanation for BFs information being mailed to my EX.
And you think the Cast Member KNEW all that, and misdirected your boyfriend's packet intentionally?
 
My BF and I booked a reservation for a room only at the Poly for two joining rooms. All was under one reservation number. A week later he and I decided to book the deluxe dining plan and park hopper passes. When I called I asked the woman if there was a code, and she said no... and copped what a appeared to be a bit of an attitude. I wish to heaven I had just hung up and called back, but I didn't. I told this CM that we wanted to switch to a package... and put me hold of quite a while and finally came back. She told me she had to change our reservation number to TWO numbers. She put one reservation under my name for one room and my kids, and one reservation under my BFs name and his kids.

Now here is the horrible part. This awful woman sent everything under my reservation number under my name and address... fine. BUT then she put my BF's reservation under MY NAME and SENT everything to my EXHUSBAND! There is no way whatsoever that BF ever lived at my former address. I took my children to WDW last year, and I was at my current address. They had everything correct in their system for my address. This CM did it intentionally. She had to have gone into the system, and picked out an old address of MINE and sent BFs information there. My EX and I are not on good terms, he does not need to see how much this trip costs... and yet he now has access to everything.

I knew something was wrong when I received an email confirmation for my reservation number and nothing for BF. I called back, and come to find out the original CM sent the confirmation via regular mail to my EX's house. This next CM tried to correct everything, but apparently he didn't. My kids found two envelopes so far that my EX received in the mail. ON TOP of the mess ups, BF's reservation information seems to only have his children. Just the two kids have received their magical express information sent to the EXs but nothing for BF.

I am just fuming at this point. Basically my BFs privacy has been messed with. He is very upset. This is a VERY EXPENSIVE trip for us, and now it is being tarnished with all of this.

What would you do? Should I call and ask to speak with someone higher than a CM? We still do not have any of the room information for BFs reservation. I have my packet with the luggage tags, the vouchers for everything, and also all of the magical express information. BF has NOTHING.

Good luck!!! In my case there was nothing intentional and I have yet to figure out how in the world they managed to mess it up. Disney concierge emailed all of our honeymoon dining, golf, etc. reservations to my DH's ex wife for our Jan '08 honeymoon. How in the world they ever associated her email address to our reservations is beyond me. When I made the reservations, I used MY email address and it is not even close to hers. She kept forwarding emails to us with our various dining changes and payments. Each time we would call and ask them to please change our email address and they would swear they changed it but the next thing you know the ex was forwarding another email to us. The ex would even call every once and awhile asking if we were inviting her to join us on our honeymoon :scared1: . They have finally (it took at least 6 mos) fixed our email address. Now they are using a phone number which is 9 years old. We change it every time we call to make a payment but alas the next time we call it is the old one. :confused3 It is very irritating!
