CM just told me that there is no audio on the Wishes cruise (regular specialty cruise -- not grand gathering variety).

I think I've read on the boards that they do now have audio. Can anyone confirm that? :confused3

p.s. Space available on Feb 3rd -- PM me.

It depends on the size of the boat you rent. The smaller less expensive one doesn't have audio piped in, but the larger one has the Wishes audio piped in.

Atleast this is the way it was explained to me. I reserved the smaller boat for a special surprise on our upcoming trip.

Hope that helps you out. :goodvibes

Last Feb. we were on a wishes cruise. It was a pontoon boat that fit 10 adults and we had music piped in.

Is is possible that some of the small pontoons have sound while some don't?

We had music last summer. The driver said that the newer boats did and we could decide if we wanted to turn it up louder for the other boats to hear or keep it quiet for ourselves. (we shared:)) This was a small boat that would hold 10.

Some do, some don't. It'll be OK though. Ask your driver to try to park near a boat that has music. They will do their best. We did this on our cruise in December and we could hear most of the music.

Just spoke with them yet again.....

Small pontoon boat holds up to 8 people - NO music
Large pontoon boat hold up to 10 people - HAS music

I wanted sound so I ponied up the extra money for the bigger boat. Personally I'd be very annoyed if a driver of a boat without sound docked close to us so his passengers could hear - for free - what we paid extra for. Just my opinion of course...

We had a boat with 10 people last Septermber, and there was no music. Good luck!

Just called again and as mentioned, it appears that the smaller boats don't have the sound. It wasn't mentioned as an option when I originally called. Perhaps all they now have available on that date are the smaller boats.

We did, too. It was a birthday cruise that left from the Poly.

I would certainly share my music. I like to share the magic and help make everyone's vacation happier. I mean what if all the big boats were taken and that family had no choice to "pay extra for it" or they were a young family who couldn't afford the larger boat. What's it really going to hurt anyway, it just music.

What is the difference in price?

IF I remember correctly, the difference is approximately $70-80. I could be wrong but I think I am pretty close. We opted for the smaller one (only 5 of us anyway) to save the money...technically we aren't saving a dime though, cos I also made ressies for carriage rides at POR also. Since we need 2 carriages for our group, I figure it comes out just about even. :teeth:

We were on a Wishes cruise in November 2006 with 9 people and we had music piped in.

There's a difference between sharing something you paid for and taking something somebody else paid for.

With any luck, they will find a Grand Gathering boat. Lots of sound (don't need to be real close) and those people won't have the notion that they paid an extra $50 for sound. It is amazing how many boats are out for the show at that time.
