CM moral?

I just returned from 2 weeks at OKW and i was just wondering is it just me or does there seem to be a higher % off CMs that for one reason or another are just not happy at their jobs at OKW! Without going into details there just doesn't seem to be as many smiling faces as in the years past. Don't get me wrong there is still a handful of faces that have been there since I can remember that still make you feel at home but there just seems to be more now that are just indifferent and dare i say almost rude when I visit my home away from home! Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

I haven't been there in awhile so I can't say for sure. I'm also not sure if it's them or us. I went through a trip or two where I felt the same way. The next trip I felt everything was back to "normal" with friendly CMs. When I mentioned it on a Disney board one of the posters (who was a Disney CM) laid out a theory something like after "x" trips you would hit "x" problems. The problems are always there, you just don't always have them affect you.

I have to say that we just got back from a week at OKW a week ago today and every CM at OKW was very friendly! Everyone was always smiling and happy.

My sister called a few times while we were there and the front desk transfered her to us. She joked one time "Alright, I'm getting a little sick and tired of these people being so nice to me when I call".

When we got back to Michigan, we had to take the provided shuttle to the lot where our car was parked. The driver was sooooo rude. One of the families on the shuttle had also been at Disney and the dad said "Welcome to Detroit. You really notice the difference how bad things are here after a week at Disney". It was so very true.

I am glad we had a good experience at OKW and can't wait until our July trip which I just got done booking! Hope it goes better for you next time.

Sometimes I get the impression DVC members get taken for granted at OKW.Disney knows they have our money, they don't try to impress us or give the same attention to detail as you would at the Contemp or Poly. There is such a manpower shortage in all of the Orlando area I don't think they fire anybody for poor performance,just transfer them to lesser areas,ie DVC resorts. we have had some excellant CM's though on the trips we've made.
