CM Main Gate Passes- still "day of" FP+ ?

If the CM has any Comp tickets, those can be used to enter a blocked-out park, and, they are park hoppers.

Yeah, you can pretty much bank on MK being blocked every year June - August. If your friend is willing to give you his/her comp ticket(s), then you could still get in. Your friend is never blocked except on extremely rare occasions.

Oh I don't think I'd want to take her comp tickets. Those sound fairly precious. She's not my oldest and dearest friend or anything. More like the wife of a person my husband does a lot of work with whom I've become friendly with as a result. She's really nice and we always get together when we are in Orlando, but we're not THAT close!

If you're using the actual guest passes, and not comp tickets, the CM who is doing this needs to be careful. Disney is starting to crack down on Maingate usage. Anytime a CM uses their Maingate passes to get guests in they are supposed to accompany them the whole time. Comp tickets, however, can be used without the CM being present.

So if the CM if going to get you in with the maingate passes and then leave, I would be very leery about letting you guys make FP+ selections at the kiosk day of. If they ask for the CM, and they aren't with you, it could be cause the CM to get in a lot of trouble. As always, some CM working at the kiosks will probably be lenient whereas others may not be.

The CM can set up fastpasses for the guest passes 7 days in advance though.

The rules allow immediate family members to be in the park without the CM remaining. The list of who is allowed to be unattended after sign in is on THe Hub, but it is basically children & their spouses, parents, siblings & spouses, grand kids.

Sorry I'm kinda confused, My Dad and Step mom both work at Disney. We are going in May and are using the passes were we go in with them and they can each get 3 people in. They bought us magic bands as gifts for the fast passes. So does that mean we can't get any fast pass on our magic bands till we arrive at the parks?

They are precious. It's how I'm getting into the MK this June! Mom and Dad are CMs. I just thought I'd mention it in case this was a very close friend. It's nice of her to use her maingates on your family, and at least you don't have to pay to get into the other parks. I hope you have plans to visit more than the MK.

The only MagicBand that can be linked is the one that links to the CM's Main Gate pass. Guest Passes that are in MDE cannot have a MB linked to them because the Guest isn't always the same person.

Th CM can use his/her MDE account and book FPs for the listed Main Gates and Guest Passes. The Guest Passes have to be tapped at the Entrance and FP tapstiles.

Correct. However, if you ever use a comp ticket, there is a number for those that can be attached to a MDE profile, and then you would be able to use a Magic Band attached to the same profile.

But it's not all bad...your Dad/stepmom can set up the 3 most important FPs in advance, on the card. Then when you get to the park, you can set up 3 more...and then have 6...
