CM discounts?

Hi,

Hoping one of the current CMs can help me...

My neighbor's mom is a relatively new CM in one of the parks (the moved to FL a about a year ago). She is trying to fogour out how her CM discounts work for a trip to WDW with her adult daughter (my neighbor). The mom isn't the most computer-savvy person around and I guess when she called to find out how to take advantage of her resort discount the lady wouldn't answer her questions and sent her to a website (?)

Anyway -- here are her questions:

1) What's her room discount in value season for a deluxe and moderate resort? Is it room-only or can she apply it to the free dining package (we assume not)

2) How does she make ressies? And does she have to be there at check in (i.e. if her daughter gets there first, can she check in or does she have to wait for mom?)

3) How do the CM park passes work? Mom thinks she has several passes that she can use for herself and up to 3 guests, but (?) she has to be with the guests and escort them into the park. What happens if mom and daughter separate for part of the day - can daughter/guests enter a park without mom but still use one of these special CM park tickets?

4) Are these special passes hopper passes? Is it literally one pass that is good for 4 people - how does this work?

I'm sorry if I've used the wrong words or terminology - hoping someone can help -

Thanks, Jackie

They sent her to a website because she has to login - her benefits differ based on her position and length of employment at Disney. So, another CM may have different benefits. Maybe a coworker or supervisor can help her login and master the system so she can find out =)

She can ask about her main gate pass from a supervisor or guest services at the parks - or even call the lady back and ask that. Usually, the person has to be there to get you into each park.

I do know that you can often call ahead to a hotel and give your CM info or come by earlier in the week and show them your ID. We've had a CM do that for us several times. She can call the particular hotel ahead of time and find out for sure.

I would encourage her to seek out help in using the system; she'll need it to fully understand her benefits and make reservations and such.
