I had sent an e-mail to WDW about 4-6 weeks ago voicing my concerns that they appeared to have eliminated e-nights and the marina "Captain's Plan". I tried to tactifully convey that I thought e-nighs were the closest thing WDW had to compete with USF front of the line access. Of course, since I sent my e-mail, WDW has announce the pilot program in May of the EMH at night and they have since reinstituted the marina plans (at a higher cost).

CM, Chrstie, was very nice and wanted me to know that they received my e-mail and my concern(s) were taken seriously by WDW. She could not commit that the EMH pilot program would be implemented during the summer months, nor that there would be any e-nights. She stated e-nights were not discontinued, but are only used during heavy attendance times and there was a good chance there would be some this summer. I pointed out that WDW history with e-nights would indicate that they are being discontinued. I pointed out that WDW sponsored e-nights in months 2002 and 2003 that they have not sponsored in 2003 and 2004. I also pointed out that Easter was very crowded and there were no e-nights. I was being very polite but I couldn't accept her answer that didn't make any sense. She really didn't have an answer to that but restated that there was likely to be some type of program in place this summer. I told her that would make my, day, week, summer and year if it would happen for our July trip.

As far as the marina plans, she indicated that they brought back the marina plans in response to guest e-mails, letters and calls. I questioned her about the driving age of the mice being changed to 16 with a valid drivers license. She looked up the info while on the phone with me and stated that you must be 12 years old and 5' tall to ride the mice. No requirement of a drivers license, even as a passenger. I told her I heard the rules have changed since there was an accident around Easter and she said her info was updated as of 4/23/04. This is different than what is being reported by guests returning on these boards. I'm not sure what to believe at this point but if her info is true, my son wll be very happy.

It was great customer service to receive that personal phone call and I told Christie the same. I also told her that her call spread pixie dust on my otherwise bad day at the office! Unfortunately. it sounds like there still is no definitive answer on whether there will be e-nights or not. I am going to keep positive that there will be some type of program in place when we are there. If not, we'll be "bummed" but we will still have a wonderful vacation!

Thanks for sharing the info, Disneyhappy! We, too, are going in July and are hoping for some evening program, as it's very difficult to get my crew up and out early in the morning.
