Sooo, it's been an interesting night. For the past few months there has been a chicken wandering my development. It seems one of those big 2-story homes behind my development is home to a whole clan worth of people and they had some chickens they were raising as meals, and one got loose.

It's wandered for a while, but it was digging up the lady across the streets yard, so she asked a guy down the road (who is a big hunter) to try and catch it. He set a live trap, and the chicken was caught.

Well, it turns out redneck hunter guy was going to eat it, so I took it and let it free in my screen porch while I tried to find a home for it. A lady at work was going to take it, but she backed out at the last minute.

So now I'm stuck with a chicken.

I decided after she fell asleep tonight, I'd catch her, put her in a cat carrier, and bring her to a farm down the road where they haver chickens, peacocks, and other fowl. I jump in my car, drive down the road, pull up beside this farm, and dump her over the fence.

I havent had that much redneck fun since the last time I went cow tipping :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

And I thought I had a redneck night having dinner at Sonny's in Saint Cloud!

Aint Central Florida Fun! :thumbsup2

Side note about stupid husbands...Shrek spent a small fortune taking his brother to the everglades to go on an air boat ride to see gator's. They saw one! Hello! For $9.99 Gatorland is right down the street!

I once had a real live tame turkey decide my house was his. That turkey wasn't so bright.... Did you know turkey's can actually fly? He kept flying into the glass slider because he saw himself. I never knew until that day that they actually flew (I was still in my early 20's, what did I know about turkey's???)

Anyhow Conck, great job on saving the chicken! Hopefully she will like her new home and stay there!

Stupid husbands?! O'Mike! :scared1: :lmao:

The person who lives across the street from us bought ducks for some children in his family a couple of Easters ago. They are now fully grown, ugly Muscovy ducks that wander the 'hood and make a holy mess out of the lawns, drives, ect.

They ate my flowers. :snooty:

You've gotta be careful. Those chickens can be dangerous!

They........knoooooooow stuff. :scared:

00 Chicken! LOL. Scary pic. :upsidedow

According to a woman who used to raise turkeys (near where I once lived) young turkeys will actually drown in the rain if you don't keep them under cover. They will tip their heads up ... :confused3 Not sure how true it is, but it supports the dumb turkey theory!

I think just about any bird has problems with reflection. Car mirrors...windows that sort of thing. They see that other bird and well... whatever, eh?

Great story! Better then the one when Alaska spared a turkey at Thanksgiving! :goodvibes

Thank you for saving that chick!

About ducks. Yeah, I was one of those fools who years ago bought ducklings at Easter. I did , in my defense, live on a lake. Well, I loved them dearly, but every morning by 6 AM they were Quack Quack Quacking at my windows!

They also hold the record for pooping. Well, next to rabbits. :scared1:

How funny!

Reminds me of a few years ago here at an apartment in the middle of Midtown Dallas. One day I heard animal noises coming from a patio in my apt complex. Turns out it was a goose. There were a lot of Vietnamese living in my neighborhood at the time and I heard that they use them for some sort of meal celebration. All I remember was a few days later, there were feathers floating all over the courtyard and no goose anymore.

I guess he was cooked.

We now live on the edge of downtown in an old Jewish community called The Cedars. Behind us there's an old house with a small shed. Inside are chickens and a rooster. Which crows all day long.....

I'm still laughing my head off from this!!
I love how you took off with the chicken and dropped it off with other chickens. Hilarious! :goodvibes
