Club Villain Debuts at DHS in January

The dinner shows run in the mid $60s, and do, in fact, include unlimited beer, wine and sangria. The BBQ includes characters. The others include almost 2 hours of live entertainment. So this party comes with a pretty hefty upcharge.
Point taken. I swear i read somewhere that alcohol was extra at dinner shows. Has it always been included? I would think that this would be about 2 hours of entertainment as well though, between characters and stage show.

As awesome as this sounds, that price tag scares me away from it. :\ I think maybe I'd have to wait until I heard/saw some reviews and then talk myself into it later. lol

I booked for mid-February hoping to see some reviews before that. Since most of the complaints about the Villains Soiree was that guests wanted dinner instead of just dessert. Also, the Club Villain and Villains Unleashed as one of the things people actually liked about the event (though I never made it in there that night).

I thought about doing this and the price scared me so I'm actually kinda happy the Saturday we are there in January (the 30th) is not having Club Villain. Now I don't have to try to justify the cost of it. I'd love to meet the villains but 100 dollars each to meet a person dressed up in a costume is too rich for my blood.

Totally excited, until I saw the price. Gees. Disney's making it really hard to defend them when people say to me how greedy it has become. It's funny how I already have a separate scale for Disney… things I would NEVER pay that much for anywhere else, but this so far exceeds that scale.

I booked for weekend #2 since we are going to be there anyways. I have the benefit of reading week #1 reviews and canceling if they are bad.

I wish the price wasn't so hefty because this is something I definitely would like to do. I can only justify this price if alcohol is included in the price.

Despite the price, I am pretty sure we will still do it at least once. Maybe hopefully when we go next October.

Seems as if it's only Saturday nights? Has anyone heard of them offering it other nights? I admit, I'd pay the $99 to try it out, but we arrive on Sat and I'm not banking on no travel problems during a Sat in February!!

Saturday only for now. I wouldn't be shocked if January starts Seasons of the Force and there is something SW related going on the other nights.

I booked it for the 23rd for my husband and two older daughters. If reviews come back and it's awful, I'll have time to cancel and get a refund. My oldest daughter really wanted to go to the soirée one summer we were at WDW and it just didn't work with the schedule (and it seemed like a bit of a cluster). This sounds more like a show along the lines of the HDDR, but with villains, which the kids will love.

This is targeted right at me - I love my villains. But there's not a chance I'd pay $99 for this. With as much that's not available anymore at DHS (animation building, one man's dream, etc), this should just be a FREE event (minus the banquet - so just a dance party along the lines of the Disney Jr dance party.) Everything just feels like a giant money grab these days.

Wait, what'd I miss....there's no more One Man's Dream??? When and why did that happen? How could they take out a tribute to Walt?

I'm under the impression alcohol IS included, at least wine and beer. It mentions other drinks too so I'm hoping their included, but wouldn't be surprised if anything other than the wine/beer is extra.

One Man's Dream is still open, the movie at the end has been substituted for a sneak preview of the Good Dinosaur but only until December 4th.

Reads like included to me. We've done the Star Wars Dessert Party a few times and specialty alcoholic drinks are all included in the price.

I think it sounds really cool! I would do it if our dates lined up.
Pricing is in line with their other extra events. Disney isn't cheap folks. It's not meant to be a bargain. It prices a lot of people out---on purpose! They aren't looking for throngs of bargain hunters. They want people who can afford it and/or prioritize to afford it, and also drops additional dollars at the event.

I wonder why they aren't having one on 1/30?! I would totally go to this but 1/30 is the only Saturday I'll be there!
