Had a good time shopping yesterday and am getting seriously spoiled with club level and express pass.

Today we went to Diagon Alley and had a good time. I found some shirts and enjoyed a butter beer. Crowds have been manageable. Wait time for Gringotts has been 120-180 minutes all day. Still haven't made it on there yet.

Was able to ride Gringotts this morning.... It's our last park day and we will spend it at the studios returning to favorites.

Gringotts was loads of fun. It's fairly tame but the theming and story were well done. The portofino was very nice. We enjoyed it. It does feel like a little village on the water.

We are headed home today. Right now we are spending some time in the club lounge relaxing before heading to the airport. We are very tired but had a great time. I will post pictures and more details when I get home.

Wow it's been too long fellow disers. It's back to school season and this teacher is exhausted.

I'd thought I'd give everyone a general day by day plan before getting into all the details.


Here we go:

Day 1- Thursday

This was our travel day. We flew to Vegas for a plane change and then on to Orlando. Took a cab to the Portofino and waited for check in.

Day 2- Friday

First park day... Spent the morning at IOA mostly at Harry potter. Used early entry since we were still up from the late flight.

Day 3- Saturday
Second park day... Skipped early entry for sleep. Spent the day park hopping.

Day 4- Sunday
Third park day... Skipped early entry for sleep. Spent the day discovering the love of water rides.

Day 5- Monday
Fourth and final park day... Early entry for Diagon Alley and Gringotts. Later on more water rides

Day 6- Tuesday
Travel day... Spent some time at resort and headed to airport. Flew to New Orleans for a plane change before returning to Phoenix.


Overall, this was the best trip we've had to a theme park. We loved the portofino and club level. The ease of visiting universal was great. It was very much like disneyland which we love.
We had such a good time that we will return in October for our honeymoon.
