Hi guys! Can you tell me where the club lounge is in relation to the Club rooms? Is it convenient to nip back and forth from the pool etc (aka the Poly at WDW)?!!

Also, please could someone post what is offered throughout the day (any pictures would be great!) and whether you consider it to be good value!
Many thanks

If you stay club, they try to put you in the villa or west wing. It can be a bit of a hike. It is quite close to the front desk, so maybe a three minute walk or so.

I think someone posted pictures in the PBH thread of the club selections. You'll have to search a bit. We quite liked it. It has an Italian flare to it...antipasta, etc.

Debs,
We have just returned from Florida. We spent 5 nights in a deluxe room with club. It was excellent value for us as we are a family of 5. Each day we had our breakfast in Club which consisted of fresh fruit (melon, strawberries, pineapple), yoghurt, pastries, cereal, muffins, bagels, eggs and loads more. You can even take food back to your room they don't mind, they will even give you a tray to carry it on. During the day you can pop down and pick up cans of coke etc as well as help yourself to tea/coffee (starbucks), iced water. I think they have snacks in the afternoon (we were always in the parks at that time) but the best time is 4.30 til 6.30 when they have beer and wine as well as hot dishes. Each day is a different theme with 3 different hot plates. Italian, Mexican, Chinese etc. At 8 they put out desserts. Each day they were different and very yummy. All in all great value as the only meals we had outside of this were at lunch-time.
Our room was in the Villa wing 6th floor so straight down in the lift and you have both pools, one in front of you, the other behind you. The club lounge was about a 3-5 minute walk along the corridoor and down the lift, no hardship to get to. Our kids loved to go into the club with their ipods sit on the sofas and use the wifi to chat on facebook. The staff in there are lovely and can't do enough to help you. Hope this helps.

That sounds lovely! Do they mind you taking soft drinks out of the lounge to the pool? Do you remember any of the evening dishes or desserts you had?

I read somewhere that the villa pool was adults only....I noticed you were a family (as are we!) and wondered whether your children were able to use the pool?

Thanks so much!

Hi Debs,

No they dont mind you taking anything out of the lounge. They have clear plastic cups that you can fill with ice and drinks of your choice, coke, diet coke, sprite, iced water, iced water with fruit in, then put on a clear lid and take it anywhere you like. At the villa pool (which we preferred) as less busy, 5th July 10am-11am we were the only family there! My kids are 19,16 & 16 and we never saw any signs saying kids couldn't use it. They also have the iced water at the pools too. Also the best sun loungers ever, very padded just right for falling asleep in after an early morning visit to the parks.
Chinese night we had mini spring rolls, chicken on skewers can't remember the 3rd choice. Italian night we had pizza, Mexican was nacos, refried beans, guacomole, Island night Yucca potato sticks (like chips in batter- very yummy) chicken on skewers . For the life of me I can't remember the other choices but there were always 3 and they were all good (and filling). The desserts were a choice of large cookies or mini cheesecakes/gateaux one night we had churros which my kids love.

Sounds great! It seems worth it for the drinks and breakfast alone and the evening offerings sound yummy! Do they have wine and cocktails as well as soft drinks in the evening? Will the club level staff make dinner reservations etc for you as well?
Would love to see some pictures!

Wine and beer is served fron 4.30 til 6.30. No cocktails I'm afraid. Both red and white were very drinkable, in fact one afternoon it flowed rather too smoothly and we were still sitting in the Club lounge when they brought out the desserts at 8. They never try to rush you or send you away although they will come and tell you when its nearly time to take the wine away so you can top up your glass or get an extra bottle of beer. The beer is in bottles, I remember they had Bud, Bud light, Coors and Corona witha slice of lime in the top to name a few. Sorry I don't have any pictures of Club but I have a few of the pool and the hotel if you're interested.

Forgot to say they will definately make any dinner reservations for you. They made a lunch reservation for us at Mythos on our last day. We had a message left on our phone in our room confirming date and time from them. They are very helpful, they also printed out directions for us as we were heading on to Anna Maria Island after our stay at PBH.
