Club Intrawest

Hello all, can anyone comment on the use of the Club Intrawest system thru Buena Vista trading company? I have read in the latest supplement to the members guide book that you can use on points on a nightly basis. If so how much per night? What are the resorts in Palm Desert and Sandestin like?Has oneone vistited these or Canadian resorts listed?

I haven't visited any other than the one in HI. The two in CAN were the only ones on the list, have the two others (Panhandle FL and CA) been added? You should search the board as there have been previous discussions. You cannot book a full 7 days through BVTC. I don't think you can book until 6 months out which gives you almost no chance of getting Whistler during prime time. The points for this option have been tradtionally very high, just like the CC. You're probably much better off going through II, doing a direct trade with a CI member of paying cash for a few days.

I just got the info today as well and see they've added all CI options in II except for Kauai. They have also included some options available through RCI and not II. I also noted they added back in one Big Island option that was on the list a few years ago then dropped.

We recently returned from our stay at Club Intrawest Blackcomb. When we booked, I asked Member Services about the nightly option instead of the whole week through II. As I recall, the nightly points were quite high, and given the new set point schedule, it would have been more points to do something like 5 nights as opposed to the whole week through II. If you call Member Services, they will walk you through it.
