Club 33 is at DLR not WDW. Yes, it is a private club, costs oodles and oodles to join, long waitlist to have a chance to join.

Check out the DisneyLand boards...there are a few reports over there about Club33...It is an amazing place. I believe there is over an 8 yr waiting list just to be eligible to join

It's called Club 33. It's a private, members-only lounge and restaurant and is located on Royal Street in New Orleans Square at Disneyland (there is no equivalent location at WDW).

You can learn more about it at the Unofficial Club 33 Website or Wikipedia.

The waiting list for Club 33 has now closed, so even if you want to join the list to wait to spend thousands of dollars to become a member, you can't!!

As others have pointed out, Club 33 is in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. So I've moved this thread to the Disneyland board. :)

Sorry Brian! I answered that in my first reply..but it kept popping up over on the wdw boards...so I linked it...

sorry!

If you go on the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour they take you in the lobby and (woo! hehe) let you stand in the French Lift elevator to get photos.

During the tour, the guide asked if anyone knew why it had its name and I piped up that it was because it was the physical address of the restaurant that they had to provide in order get a license to serve alcohol.

She quickly cut me off after the "of the restaurant" part... presumably so nobody else would hear the alcohol comment.
