I saw the photos, but I still have to reserve final judgment.

Does it look nice inside? Of course. It's lovely. I figured Disney would make it look nice inside, and put in some extra details. It's not going to be hideous -- I was never worried about that. I like the little Haunted Mansion area too.

But...from what I've seen from the photos, do I like this version of Club 33 better than the old version? No.

I still think the old version had a certain intimacy and mystique to it that I am not picking up on in the most recent photos of the new version of Club 33. Being there to experience it in person -- especially when it's new and people are excited about seeing it -- makes all the difference, I think.

Heard from a couple of friends yesterday who said that the current exteriors do not look good. There does seem to be hope that the finished product will be better, so we'll just have to wait and see.

However, this picture makes me very sad. I loved the beautiful French lift and would have preferred to have it kept as an elevator, even if not a working one, than to turn it into a table. I'm sure others will think it's fine but it makes me want to cry.

The french lift being re-purposed like that does indeed make me sad. The exteriors will be updated every night up to the 28th of this month from what I heard. Expect them to blend in seamlessly.

OH, YEAH!! Me too! I want to sit in the HM booth and have a Bloody Mary followed by a Diamond Martini! You can also buy the glass. I love the diamond ice cube

I also love the new china. I have to grudgingly admit that the new logo is growing on me.

Great news about the exteriors!! I don't care whether it was always in the plan or a scramble to assuage the mass consternation with what was revealed; I'm just so happy to hear that they're going to fix up the outside.

The former china was easy because they retired them and sold them off (I need to find a charger though...)... the new stuff... maybe some seconds defects will hit the market...

Lucky you! I have one glass dessert plate .

I still don't like the new drapes AT ALL, but that's a taste issue. I prefer the more opulent look it used to have, and maybe they aren't done.

ETA: I own the glass plate thanks to my very good friends, tinkcollector and disneyluvr2 (lcasa? Did you go too?), who bought me one from the CM store in May.

MUST HAVE....

Those ice ball makers aren't cheap. I've had my eye on the water molecule one which is basically a 3D mickey head.... You've got to get special ice tray makers to get the clear ice too because as ice freezes it forces the air suspended in the water towards the unfrozen parts... so only a portion of each chunk of ice is useful, and you want the clear part for your drinks. They way you control this is through how slowly the ice freezes, which the ice makers accommodate for through insulation factors.

I don't mind the whole updating and expanding but the lift gate should have been incorporated better.
