Cloudy with a chance of meatballs-movie?

I'd like to know too. It looks very different from the book, but it still could be good! :)

My 9 and 11 year old sons saw it and loved it. Two 14 year old girls that i know saw it at the same time and raved about it. I have not seen it but the kids seems to like it.

DH and the kids saw it today. The kids liked it, but dh thought it was boring.

I saw it last night with my 2 sons 11 & 5...in 3-D. It was really neat to see the 3-D, but I was bored after about 1/2 an hour. My kids said they liked it, but did not seem too thrilled. You might want to wait for dvd, unless your kids are really into it.

Is it even close to the story like of the book? My DD says from the commercials that it looks completely different?:confused3

i loved it! it was really cute and pretty funny sometimes.

i don't exactly remember the story of the book, but the movie had a good story line itself. and i mean really. that book was like 14 pages long. how could they make a full movie without adding some stuff?

It's so hard to judge by someone else's opinion. It's almost like I need to poll people who say they like it:
Did you also like Happy Feet?
Did you also like The BEE Movie?

I saw it today with DD and her freind. i thought it was funny, cute and i loved that there wasn't anything inappropriate about it. i loved it and thought it was cute. there were a few slow moments but not too many.

the only thing is that i would not recommend seeing it in 3d as i don't think it added much to the story and the 3d was $3 more. that $3 is fine for one person but multiply that by your average family of 4 and it really adds up for only a 90 min movie.

:goodvibesWe just got back from seeing the 3D version with our 8 year old so and 6 year old daughter.

We all enjoyed it. It was entertaining and funny.

I agree about skipping the 3D if you feel like it. It didn't add much to the movie.

We see a lot of movies with and without the kids, so if it helps here are some of my movie opinions.

Bee Movie-decent
G-Force- good
Depereaux- dreadful
Mosters vs. Aliens- Good
Wall-E- depressing and slow
Happy Feet- Too preachy about issues

There you go! Maybe that will give you enough background about our movie tastes to determine if you will like Cloudy as well!

No, it isn't anything like the book (which was my very favorite book as a child).
