The footwear thread got me thinking...what do you find most comfortable to wear in the parks?i havent started buying much but ive just realised the only thing i have bought is two dresses.

I don't find dresses practical for getting in and out of rides, so I tend to be a shorts and vest top girl. I do take a couple of dresses for shopping/dinner/wearing over a bikini to TL/BB etc.

I buy the lightest material of shorts I can find, especially for days we'll be on wet rides. Denim is a no-no. :)

I mostly wear shorts and strappy tops, but have a couple of dresses for the evenings or beach days.

Yeah I'm thinking the dresses will be nice for the evenings but not good for daytime and rides. Its tricky having not been in sep/oct before, when we went in july there was massive thunder storms everyday so I just keep thinking about that and getting soak so I'll need lightweight quick drying clothes :rotfl:

I don't know what type of bag to take either,i wanted just a small shoulder bag but my bf keeps finding new things he'll want to put in it :headache:

We were the last October and it ws BOILING, but I hear that isn't the norm. We did only have rain once, and it wasn't a down pour, just your average shower. So don't worry too much about rain.

here is what i wear in July

Shorts made from the same material as light weight combats (i think the material is called poplin) debehamans have them in the collection section

Strappy vest tops

and a bumbag.(for money comb ect)

my DH pretty much the same (plain vest tops not strappy !!) and a small very light backpack for suncream and ponchios

hope this helps you decide

We're pretty much the same - shorts/strappy tops & bumbag each (no strappy top for DH though!!:rotfl:)

As there are only the 2 of us we try to avoid a back pack as it makes your back v sweaty and we try to put everything we need in a bumbag.

I will wear pretty dress in the evening but as it can be soo hot your legs can rub a bit in a dress in the day (if you're like me anyway :lmao:)

sorry to hijack your post but can i ask a question, are you allowed to wear a T-shirt over your swimmers when in the water parks, i burn really really easily, and wanted to know if you can wear a T-shirt whilst swimming?

I'm sure you can, but you may be a lot more comfortable to buy a rash guard top. It wont get all soggy and sticky on you once it's wet. And will dry a lot quicker. And as they are snug there will be zero chance of it getting snagged on anything like a baggy wet t-shirt could.

yes you can wear a t-shirt...i always do...
but it does mean that you'll get cold more easily, both in and out of the water...

a surfing shirt might be good for you....they're much more comfortable wet and dry very quickly once you're out of the water..
you can buy them in the shops at BB and TL,,
