DH and I's new home is finally finished
. Good news: It looks great, after all the delays from digging the hole to finishing it- it was worth the wait. Bad news: we cant get the mortage company to take our money, seriously. We told them two months ago that we wanted to close on Tuesday (April 25th). We called them on Monday to setup the appointment and the mortage officer said, "oh, you wanted to close this week?", um yeah, that was the goal
. Here is the issue, we have to be out of our apartment no later than Sunday, we have no choice. It is now Thursday and as of end of business day we have not heard anything from our mortage company, not even a reason for the delay. As of Wednesday, everything was approved and waiting for the underwriter's signature. My poor DH has called them four times today, with the exact same message- We need to close on this house by tomorrow. Please tell me that I shouldn't stress and that everything will fall into place- either that or send me some Valium, because I have a feeling I'm going to need it
