Closing of Silver Creek Springs pool....

Anyone else disappointed at the timing of the rehab closure of Silver Creek Springs pool at WL? VWL is our first home resort and due to various reasons (mostly because we were trying out the newest resorts!) we haven't stayed there for several years....but, a few months ago booked a 1 bdrm there in October for five nights during the F & W Festival. Anyway......today I see the pool closure has been announced! DH and I discussed it and initially thought we might just stay the course, but, then talked a bit more about walkways being closed, most likely Trout Pass will be closed, etc......so decided to switch over to SSR (the only resort we could get a 1 bdrm for our dates) which is OK....since SSR is our second home resort and we haven't stayed there for a long time either. On another note...usually I do all of our ressies online, however, since we were modifying....and also adding a night....I wanted to talk to MS....which really didn't go over too well.....in the end....all is good, but.....suffice it to say......I do believe they are not training MS like they used to. The MS rep told me I didn't have enough points to add another night!! She was right....sort of....our use year is August.....so I did not have any points left in 2013 use year.....nor in 2014 use year since we traveled to WDW in Jan 2014 and borrowed/used some of those and are using some for our Aug 2014 trip and the remainder for our Oct 2014 trip. She did not have a clue I would be able to borrow enough points for one night in Oct 2014.....she kept saying "No I'm sorry you don't have any points left for another night". I needed to explain to her that since my use year is Aug and the trip is happening AFTER Aug ... I can borrow from 2015 points. So....as I said I don't think the training is as comprehensive as it used to be......

Hard to judge from one experience. There have always been good reps and bad reps. Before online booking was an option, the common advice offered was if you didn't agree with the information given during a phone conversation, call back and get another rep.
