Closing Central Plaza...

It was a lovely night in Central Plaza, with a little lag and a lot of laughter. Well, we all experienced a lot of lag,
except for DoomCookie, who was packing most of the night.

I crashed twelve minutes before closing, but made it back on somehow in time to enjoy the 10-minute warning:

The popcorn cart is officially closed, by the way... it had been condemned due to some kind of rat infestation, so I didn't work last night.

A lovely night, indeed. So good to see Coriander, alyce, mickeysfriend, Mable, ihearavoice, Patchy, bestdvc,
dvcgal, RealLabGirl, poohbrlvr, qruthie, PeachyT, JEDIYODA, FallinAndFlyin, W.C.Drummer,
FrontierSuzy, Diznygrl, dmamie, DoomCookie, and queenliz. As the queen said, a lot of long ago faces:

All in all, it really has been fun. When I first logged in on that first afternoon to the mysterious and kinda magical place
of VMK three years ago, who knew I would be so taken by an online game and the sweet, kind, happy people inhabiting
it? And who knew the end of the world would be so slow? It's been fun, friends, and I'm very grateful to have met
some of you... don't forget to find something to laugh about now that the real world has you again.

I was bouncing around in various full rooms to see who I could find. Just reliving the closing memories and was thrilled to have found this group. I recognized many long ago peeps in here. Too bad the lag was so bad that I never made it to the dance line. But glad my final VMK minutes were with DIS peeps.

Many in this thread, I hope, remember me as PixieBella or TrixieBella. VMK will always remain in my memories. So many good times were shared by those of us with a common love for all things Disney. It was here on the DIS that I was introduced to VMK in May of 2005. Its been some time since my pretty little high heeled pixeled feet graced the streets of VMK, but I can say that the closing has saddened me. SorcMickey and I are still together and very happy. I will always remember the first time I set eyes on the mysterious avatar dressed all in black with that cowboy hat standing on the corner. Maybe one day I will let you all in all of the "behind the scenes" of VMK that little knew but I was privy to via my friendship with Yavn. PS Yavn was the one who gave me my Inferno..does anyone remember under which name he gave it to me? There was a HUGE amount of controversy after that and him making me a CL. Take care VMKers, and always remember the fun times, the silly times and the VMK moments that made you say, GR!

Good to see so many friends in your Central Plaza closing pics. While I didn't make it over last night, I'm glad that I was able to close there (with many of you) on Tuesday. Hugs and take care everyone!

Sorry I missed the final close in Central Plaza, I was out of town and the hotel PC did not have the lastest version of shockwave and I could not load it lol, you should have seen me talking to the hotel peaople.."Don't you realize what is happining here"

Anyway, great to see the screen shots and to know I will still have friends here and the memories!

Hagen - Thanks for posting the screen shots from the final close. Glad I got to spend those final hours with dear friends and W00Ts go to the Queen for getting the final word in for the girls. Hugs and thanks for the memories!

I was very sad to have missed the final night on VMK but the real world and my sweetie DH came first. Our anniversary trip to the Bahamas was wonderful but INTERNET access was horrible. I tried to get on VMK but the DSL connect and poor computer just couldn't load VMK. Hugs to all my friends. I hope to chat with you all again very soon. This can't be a final good bye my friends, only until we meet again.

and i miss my green flips.... and i need to buy real ones, i did have green flips but, my guinea pig chewed them up... go figure
