Closest reasonable offsite hotel to Animal Kingdom

Anyone have a suggestion as to the closest/easiest hotel to Animal Kingdom? Need to just have a "day room" after cruise.

not a hotel but a timeshare - Silver Lakes

close hotel - was the holiday inn - but it isn't listed as a holiday inn.

Comfort Suites Maingate was surprisingly nice, we thought. It's at 7888 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy. We stayed there one night when we couldn't extend our condo in March 2007. The pool area was quite nice, and the room was decent. I believe it's right across the street from the Best Western mentioned in the post above, and I agree that either of these would be the closest to AK. I'm pretty sure the Comfort Suites is much newer.

Best Western Lakeside and Quality Inn Maingate West. Best Western is a little nicer. Quality Inn has a free continental breakfast buffet.

There's a Ramada near Sherberth Rd. (which will take you right to AK in about 3 min.). It's the one that has family suites and an indoor pool. There's also a Clarion Hotel on 192 and just off Sherberth Rd just a couple of min to AK.

One more question/requirement-which of these hotels have bell services or the like. We will be arriving in am after cruise and will need to check our luggage before going to Animal Kingdom?

best western lakeside - is a big hotel - you will probably find a room immediately.

so I never have stored my luggage - don't know if I would. you can call the hotel and ask.

Thanks for info on Best Western. We have always stored our luggage when checking in if room was not ready or checking out and staying later, but this has been at Disney, Sheraton, Hyatt, Westin and other resorts. I will call and see, otherwise I may have to do Pop for more money. Hate to pay that to store luggage.

We have stayed at the Galleria Palms (Formerly The Meridian) which has been recently updated. Nice clean place with very resonable rates.
