Which non-Disney owned hotels are closest to the Disney hotels and Downtown Disney? We looked at a few across Harbour Blvd but would like to be closer to Downtown Disney on foot. Are there any other hotels in Downtown Disney district? We would ideally like to be not more than a 20 minute walk to either park or Downtown Disney. Thank you for an advice in advance!

There are a lot of Good Neighbor motels/hotels that are very close (definitely closer than a 20-minute walk), some of which are right across the street. Best Western Park Place Inn is one such place. The Carousel Inn is close. There are many of them.

There are no hotels technically in Downtown Disney, but the Disneyland Hotel anchors one end of Downtown Disney, and you can turn into the Grand Californian Hotel from Downtown Disney, which is handy if you are going to eat there. Everything is very walkable in and around Disneyland Resort.

From a walking perspective, I would say that the closest non-Disney hotels to DTD are going to be the ones at the corner of Katella and Disneyland Drive. You would just have to walk north on Disneyland Drive and then cut through the GCH to get into DTD. I also think the ones at the Harbor Blvd pedestrian entrance are very close, but you will have to go through Bag Check/Security to get to DTD (because you have to cross the Esplanade).

The closest distance-wise is the Best Western Park Place Inn. Even having to go through security bag check and cross the Esplanade, the distance is still shorter than something like BW Stovall's.

Having recently done this, I disagree. I think that jumping across Harbor, going through bagcheck and out the other side is quicker than walking all the way up that road, going into the Grand, going all the way down the interior and exterior path, to come out halfway through DTD.

Park Vue Inn is right at the crosswalk on Harbor def not a 20 min walk

We liked staying at the Anabella Hotel a couple of years ago. It's at 1030 W Katella Ave. We walked up Disneyland Drive and through the Grand Californian and into Downtown Disney. It's a really nice well-lit walkway and it makes you feel like you are in the Disney bubble!

Isn't that what Girimama33 linked above?
Oh no, I completely missed that! I just know that I always like to refer to that map (I had saved it from a long ago post), so I wanted to share it! Yup, same one!

We're staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn and Suites right now. It's about as close to the main gate as you can get. We have two queens and a sofa bed. The room is quite large. The furnishings are nice. The room was very clean when we arrived and housekeeping has done a great job while we've been here. They have a good breakfast every morning. We've stayed at lots of places along Harbor. From now on, we probably won't stay anywhere else.

Yeah, hotels like the BWPPI are closer to the parks than DLH and PP.
