Which building would this be...closest grand villa (non smoking) to hospitality house. Is there a link anywhere to an OKW map. I used to have one but it's no longer in my favorites. A golf view would be a bonus!! :goodvibes

Bldg 63 has a grande villa and a golf view, but OKW will probably not honor requests on grande villas, since they only have 25. It's worth a try, though.
You might get lucky! :coffee:

You should have the map in your member information, but here it is:

Your best request is "non-smoking, near HH" There are several buildings that would fill that discription, and several others that would be close enough to walk easily. Each GV building has only 2 GVs in it plus several other units, so you would only be setting yourself up for disappointment if you requested anything more specific than non-smoking near HH.

I think bldg 63 would be ideal as long as it wouldn't be a handicapped accessible unit. Thanks everyone for the info and especially for the maps! You almost can't go wrong in ANY grand villa at OKW no matter WHERE you are!

Donna,

Please keep in mind that the only OKW Grand Villas that will be available to you on your check-in date are those that are being vacated that morning.

If nonsmoking is your primary request, and proximity to the Hospitality House is your secondary request, then that's what you need to ask Member Services to note on your reservation.

Let's suppose that 4 Grand Villas — 3 nonsmoking and 1 smoking — have check-outs scheduled for the day that you're checking in. Let's further suppose that these 4 Grand Villas are all over OKW. Finally, let's suppose that yours is one of 4 families checking into a Grand Villa that day, and every family has requested nonsmoking and/or proximity to the Hospitality House.

The room assigner won't be able to satisfy everyone 100%. You will be assigned to one of the 4 available Grand Villas. (They won't kick another family out of a Grand Villa to satisfy a request for a specific building.)

Expecting a specific Grand Villa in a specific building is setting yourself up for disappointment.

So let Member Services know what's really important to you, and hope for the best. Have a great vacation!

Just FYI - I was told by the front desk staff at OKW that there are 3 handicap accessible grand villas. Two are in bldg. 63 and one in bldg. 48, so you might not want to request bldg. 63.

I agree about not asking for specific bldg! Non smoking is my number one request and also the easiest to satisfy, i imagine. I'm sure everyone would like to be closest to hospitality house! That is probably the most common one! I will just put them in that order without a specific bldg. number. This will be our first time in a GV, we just can't wait to do this :coffee: in the morning and then again later with mudslides out on the balcony! Well, this isn't til august, so i guess it'll be kind warm out there! :sunny: :faint:

What does"HA" mean on Diane's map? I stayed in Bldg. 48, which has it, but I don't know what "it" is. :scratchin

HA is Handicapped accessible, but not ALL units will have that distinction in that building.
