I'm arriving at the GCH on Thursday and need a few supplies for the room. Can anyone recommend a mini mart near the hotel? I don't need a full blown grocery store, just somewhere to pick up some milk, cereal bars, chips, etc. Thanks.

There is a mini mart across the street (Harbor) connected to the Tropicana I believe. But you would have to walk through DTD and cross Harbor to get to it.

I also know there is alittle shop on the corner of katella (sp) and harbour, they sell shirts drinks and some grocery/fruit things. Beside the 7-11

You may be able to find what you want at Compass Bookstore. That's where we usually go. We just get milk, fruit, yogurt, and stuff like that. Oh, and dh gets his donuts and I get my mocha :goodvibes

It's down at the end of DTD near the DLH. They also sell things like salads, roll-ups, etc.

where is the mini mart by the tropicana? what dose it sell water pepsi milk? (trying to think maybe a mini mart is what we are looking for

You can find a few things in the gift shop in GCH; they actually have some milk, cereal and cold drinks. You can also get a larger variety in WhiteWater Snacks, also in GCH lobby. Expensive, though, of course.

There's a shop in Tropicana, there's also one inside HoJo. There's a 7-11 on the corner of Harbor and Katella.

I don't know about "full-blown grocery store" but we were in the same situation when we stayed at GCH in March. What I really wanted, though, was a rack of bottled water, because the tap water is truly horrible, and bottled water averages $3.00 a bottle in the hotels and parks! Then we needed breakfast stuff. So we ordered online from Albertson's for delivery. It worked great. They don't have a minimum amount you have to order. We got yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, pop tarts, apples and bananas, a roll of paper towels and a package of plastic spoons. Plus the aforementioned 24-pack of bottled water. They delivered to the hotel about a half-hour before we arrived, and the bell desk held it for us.

The mini mart at the Tropicana has little things that you might need. We bought PB & J and bread once there and they have milk, cereal (single serve, can't remember if they had boxes), juice, sodas, waters. But water and cereal was cheaper at the Target just down Harbor, it's not too far and I know you could get a bus or even a taxi to run you down there if you don't have a car. You could walk but it's pretty far so I don't recommend that. :)

Gail, the front desk held it for you guys? Hmmmm...i just got off the phone with Albertson's and the guy said he "thinks" the delivery person would not leave it at the hotel. It would be great if they did...we arrive at the hotel late and all i want is some water, juice boxes, breakfast items, snacks, and plastic utensils, too. Maybe I'll call tropicana and see what they've done in the past...

....k, just got off the phone with tropicana. they said that they will hold it for me...and to just let them know that i will be having groceries delivered so that they can put a note in my reservation, so when the groceries are delivered, they know to hold it. yay! :thumbsup2
