Closest grocery store?

We will have a car with us when we go to WDW next year. We will be staying in a 1BR at BWV, and we will be going to Boca Raton before WDW so we could pick up non-perishable items like cereal, cereal bars, etc. before we leave Boca. But we will need to pick up just a couple of things...only milk, soymilk, frozen waffles...to add to the non-perishables for breakfasts. For only 3 items I don't want to have to pay for a delivery service. So we would like to just drive to a store and pick them up.

Where is the closest grocery store? Last year at Pop Century (before we became DVC members) we just bought a half gallon of milk in the food court. But we need other things now too, soymilk (for me) and frozen waffles, since we have a full kitchen. I'm sure we could buy regular milk on property but not the other things right?

Gooding's is across from property in Crossings shopping plaza - you'd pass Downtown Disney and continue onto Hotel Plaza Blvd. past on-property Hilton, Buena Vista Palace, DoubleTree, etc. and then at gate cross Route 535 directly into that shopping plaza. It tends to be more expensive however for most things.

Publix is located nearby as well. Try this link to location that is near Route 535 ( you'd make a right turn out at WDW- Hotel Plaza Blvd. gate ) 8145 Vineland Ave near Little Lake Bryan.

And also Winn-Dixie on Irlo Bronson Hway is about 3 - 4 miles

Can't say for sure, but have heard that a cab from BWV to Grand Floridian is around $20 one way.

It'd probably make sense to order from Garden Grocer or We Go Shop or renting a car for 24 hours may even save $ or be close to cost of cabbing it to/from store - - Dolphin is walkable from BCV and has car rental, iirc it may be National/Alamo and there are also other on-property car rental locations too on World Drive; at Downtown Disney Hotels Hilton - Avis, Regal Sun - Dollar, DoubleTree - Budget and BestWestern - U Save. If you check out mousesavers dot com there are often great tips on how to get best discounts at various rental agencies.
