Closest grocery store to Animal Kingdom Lodge

I will be at Kidani in a week and will have a car. What is the most convenient grocery store to pick up some supplies?

Correct question is where is the closest Publix.

I think the Publix may be closest, but I am not 100% sure as I am biased. The closest is like a mile as the crow flies. Unfortunately there is not a direct route, so is like a 9 minute ride. It is on 192, the Publix at orange lake.

Orange lake Publix is as close to the AKL property line as Jambo is to Kidani, if you could walk a straight line there!

There is also a Super Target across 192 from Publix.

It’s fairly nice Publix and the Super Target is huge with a liquor store!

Another vote for the Publix! Much easier to get to and from, and it’s a real grocery store with a much better selection of grocery items, deli, bakery, etc. If you want non-grocery items too, Target might work out better, but after one trip to Super Target thinking the Red Card discount would be great, we decided that Publix was the place for us.

We went to the Super Walmart at the end of Sherberth Rd on 192. It´s only 2 miles, less than 10 minutes away. I was impressed with their produce. They had everything we needed in addition to all the items a Walmart has, and much cheaper souvenirs than you´d get at WDW.

Our favorite part of Kidani is how convenient things are (turn right onto Sherberth road then right onto 192). The Publix and Target are down 192 about a mile and across the road from each other. There is also pretty much every chain restaurant you can think of along that stretch. We have often eaten a few meals along there to save a little money. When we were at Kidani in late Summer, with all the COVID restrictions, early park closings, few onsite food options and limited park hours, we found ourselves getting Curbside to Go meals from the various restaurant several nights and bringing back to eat in our villa. It was very easy and safe. There are a few chains along there we don't have near us at home that my family enjoys visiting.

when you get there, google a Publix and use WAZE for directions. Just my choice for directions.

We often go to the Super Target close to AKL, or the Publix. Also agree that lots of chain restaurant options if you want to eat off property.
