Does anyone know which rides are still closed during March - we are visiting 12th March for 6 days. A friend of mine got back last night and commented on the fact some rides remain closed ??

Here's from allearsnet.com:

Liberty Square Riverboat will not be sailing through spring 2006 due to an extensive rehab.

Pirates of the Caribbean - will close the attraction in March to update the attraction to include characaters from the Movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Reopens July 7th. The attraction will feature the addition of two of Hollywood’s most infamous buccaneers, Captain Jack Sparrow and his nemesis Captain Barbossa. Joining the wildest crew that ever sacked the Spanish Main, Captain Jack and Barbossa add an exciting new twist to the attraction’s original storyline as they race to be the first to claim a cache of plundered treasure. The rival swashbucklers will be seen interacting with some of the more familiar Audio-Animatronics buccaneers found inside the ride-thru adventure. Also making a guest appearance is the ghostly Davy Jones from the second movie in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. But new characters are only the beginning. New special effects will also be added to enhance the “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme park experience.

Click here (dlp.info webiste) Scroll down to March, looks like there will be 4 attractions closed when you are there - Autopia, Casey Jr. Train, Le Pays des Contes de Fees(Storybookland boats) & Riverboats - but there's still lots open. Hope this helps.

both times we went September and December Casey Jnr was listed as closed however both times it was open :confused3 my daughter loved it!

The others mentioned definitely closed

With the exception of the Riverboats, the other rides (Autopia, Casey Jr. Train, Le Pays des Contes de Fees) are seasonal attractions only open during the summer season.
I have seen rumours that it is hoped the Mark Twain will be operating again during weekends in March, we shall have to wait and see - I hope so.
Also read that the damage caused to the Molly Brown would cost so much to repair that she is to be used for spares for MT and then scrapped which is a great shame - I'd have her.

Just found an updated list on the net which says that both Autopia and Le Pays des Contes de Fées reopen on the 11th March, we haven't done either of these before :cheer2:
Casey Jnr. reopens on the 18th March
Mark Twain returning Fridays - Mondays from the 11th March pixiedust:

My day's just getting better and better :Pinkbounc

BTW It's a reliable source as I'm sure one of our members would agree ;)

Where did you find this Jill? My son has been desperate to go on Autopia (even though I hear it is a little dull LOL) but it is always closed when we visit out of season. He would be thrilled if it were open!

Quack I've sent you a PM as I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to another forum on here (not really good etiquette). :thumbsup2

Are those dates definate though?

Great my days just gone from bad to worse :sad2:

It also seems a possibilty that the "Racoon" keelboat will be back from the 11th March. :thumbsup2

Fingers crossed the CM's involved pass their river navigation exams this week. Sending them some pixiedust: for luck. :)
