Am looking to rent up to 100 of my POLY points for $20pp. Since these are Dec 2022 UY, these are good through November 30, 2023, with exclusive access to the newly refurbished Polynesian Villas for bookings 7-11 months out (and all DVC resorts when booking for stays less than 7 months out).

8 adults. Boardwalk or yacht club or swan and dolphin…any on premises since my older bro has stage 4 cancer and we are desperately trying to make this as easy as possible for him. . Do you have any suggestions? We haven’t ever done this before. Thank You!

So sorry to hear about your older brother.

Regarding the rental, this is for Disney Vacation Club properties only (Disney's timeshare), so not every property is included (Yacht Club and Swan & Dolphin are not DVC properties). With 8 adults, you will need either a 2-bedroom villa or a 3-bedrom villa. Looking at availability, there are no such rooms available at Boardwalk (or Beach Club) for a 5/18-5/22 stay. But as of my typing this message, there are 2- and 3-bedroom villas available at Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Bay Lake Tower, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Copper Creek, and Wildness Lodge. Unfortunately, I will be unable to assist you with any such rental because I only have up to 100 points available, and the cheapest of those 2-bedroom villas costs about 150 points for that stay. But if you are interested in any of those resorts, you should be able to find someone else on this DVC Rental Board who has a lot more points available.

(You also will have to eventually make 10 postings in other Boards to be able to send/receive Private Messages (PM). No personal info is allowed posted in the general forums, which would be required to finalize any agreements.)

Hello, I am looking for Nov 18-21 stay at Polynesian resort, AKL, or Copper Creek. 3 adults, 1 infant, but looking for a 2 BR as we are bringing our au pair with us. Is this something that can fit the bill for your points? This is my first attempt looking into this with my wife, so we are trying to learn here how to calculate needed points for the stay, etc. Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

@mattwatson2, unfortunately, this type of stay would exceed the amount of points I have available.

Also, because I am an owner at the Polynesian (i.e., I have POLY points), I can make reservations at that resort for stays up to 11 months away. But I can only make reservations at other DVC resorts for stays that are 0-7 months out. (This is the main benefit for which points you have: you have priority in getting reservations at your home resort.) So for November 2023, I can only make reservations at the Poly currently (I would be able to attempt at other resorts on April 18 for a stay starting on November 18).

The other potential issue is that the Poly only has deluxe studios, i.e., there are no 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom villas there (ignoring the super-expensive Bungalows). But there are connecting studios, so maybe two side-by-side could work? However, although such a request can be made, I do not think that can be guaranteed (others might have more insight into that since I have not tried to get that). And finally, the points required for two Poly studios would be 138 points, which is more than I have available. (There are 2-bedroom villas available at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 116 points and at Copper Creek for 142 points.)
