Hi! We are looking to rent points for a 1 bedroom villa at Aulani for the week of 5/15 - 5/22.

To the person that asked about about why I’m not renting via a 3rd party site at a higher level, the reason I’m not is because these points expire within 3 months and are therefore considered “distressed” points. So my payout from renting these points through a 3rd party site would not be higher. If these points could be used over the next year and didn’t expire within the next 2.5 months, then yes, I would be renting them at a higher level.

I also had the experience last year where I planned a last minute Thanksgiving trip to Disney World with my family and tried to rent last minute points through one of those sites — this is a newly purchased contract I’m currently renting points from and I didn’t have access to these points at that time. For that trip I was able to find rooms I wanted with availability in the DVC system but by they time the 3rd party site responded, got to the actual owners of the points and tried to book the rooms they were gone. Given it was a popular time to go but people were still changing plans at a more rapid clip due to COVID, room churn was high at the time. It happened a couple times and I got frustrated. I ended up renting from a couple DVC owners on this forum and the process went much more smoothly given they were able to book the rooms available immediately for me. I had confidence in the reservations as well due to the conversations I had with the DVC owners and that I could see the reservation confirmation in my MDE app. Yes, I suppose they could have cancelled the reservation on me before the trip, but I believe most people are inherently good and the level of trust within this disboards community is high.

I have 800 June use year points expiring on 5/31 to rent. Given these have to be used within the 7 month window they are available to use at any resort by 5/31. I will rent/transfer them at the following tiers:

300 or more points for $10pp

200 to 300 points for $12pp

Due to the number of rentals associated with this I’m trying to limit this to people that want to rent at least 200 points or more. If you are close to that I can be a little lenient but I’m too concerned about tripping a Disney limit with the number of rentals I’ve made this year to be able to do a couple nights in a studio. I’m sorry.

Saratoga Springs has availability that whole week. It’s the only one. They have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom villas available. The 1 bedroom preferred view is 293 points for the week, 2-bedroom standard and preferred views are 332 and 394 points respectively and the 3-bedroom standard view is 732 points.
