I am Obsessive - Compulsive. I admit it, not proud of it but it is what it is.

I signed up yesterday for the TinyTreasures Big Give. I finished the outfit today (mostly, I just have to hand sew on the buttons.) I am hoping that mom was right when she said Isabella loves Pink.:cutie: :cutie: :cutie:

The rick rack looks straighter in person but looks wonky here.

The back of the a line matches the pink polka dot pants.

Sorry about the huge pictures.

How very cute!

Here are my finished A-line tops :cool1: :cool1:

I'm excited about how easy they were to complete. Now on to try the skort pattern and make two Minni dot skirts.

That is really cute!! She is going to love it!!

Prayers to all who need them.
Thank you.
thats a lovely outfit i am sure she will love it
Thank you.
I love your attention to detail how the dots line up. Wow! Nothing wrong with a little OCD, it gets projects done and the house really clean.
Can't say that I purposely lined up the dots but it is a happy coincidence.
Anyway. I love it. I want to make some little girl stuff soon (I only have boys). I think I will try an A-line and the easy fits like this for a very little one. and put it away till one of my little brothers has kids.
These are my two favorite patterns.
Super cute!
Thank you.
So adorable! I would have never thought of lining up the dots. I remember reading that she LOVES pink so I think you are safe, lol.
I read that Isabella loves pink so I went with it. I had all the fabric and notions in my stash too which is so nice.

Very cute. I am not brave enough to make something predominately white - too many dribbles in this house.:)

Very Pretty. I have the same aversion to white that snubie has, I am the only one in the house that is allowed to wear white. The boys and DH just wreck it instantly.

Well, dds won't be allowed to wear them until we are in DW and they probably won't be allowed ice cream Mickeys that day either :rolleyes1 . I did have to run a lint brush on the inside before I turned them right-side out as we have a black/brown long haired dog you could see her hair through the fabric. That was another first for me.

Emily

I really liked the Minnie a-line tops in white. I think white is better than a lot of colors. You can use a bleach pen on white!

Does anyone else have a child where clown is looking like a viable option for lifetime occupation? This child utterly drives me crazy. Yesterday we were at Brownies and the girls were practicing selling cookies. There was one Brownie who was way sillier than all the other girls. I also noticed that she is a head taller than almost all the other girls. When did she get so tall?

Anyway, yesterday I cut up some of her jeans and played around with the leftover fabric to make her this:

th_IMG_1065.jpg

Don't expect to see a close up of that zebra any time soon! I kept looking at Jeanne's trying to get him close and hers are much cuter!

Oh, and if anyone wants any girl scout cookies, let me know. When they were discussing goals, the girls said they wanted to sell enough to go to Disney World! Their leaders said that was quite a lot of cookies they would have to sell!

Ummm...my zebras were done by my machine :thumbsup2 I couldn't even dare attempt one by hand. You rock steph! Those jeans are so cute! And I love your little clown! Jayden is my big clown.

It's official- Sophia will have her hernia repaired on Feb. 6th!! I know it is only day surgery but I'm still nervous!!! But I am also glad it's finally set. We have had this hanging over us for over a year now, and knew the day would come eventually!!

I'll be praying that everything goes well for Sophia!

go for it!!!!!!
when I said Flake I was being nice George told me stories about her! They would make your head spin!!!!!!

I love your inside info! I watch the show :rolleyes1 and I find it fascinating!

I love it Stacey! And I knew from just glancing at the picture that you made it! And that's a compliment. I still want to CASE your Donald Duck outfit, but that Donald applique is nowhere to be found :sad1: That pink polka dot has to be one of my favorite fabrics ever!

Really cute but your pictures are too small!

I'm coming out of lurkdom too. I have sewn since I was a little girl but the whole embroidery and applique world is completely new to me. We're going on our first Disney trip Dec. 12-19th and we are trying to keep it a surprise from our kids (they think we are going in 2010). The applique and embroidery work all of you do is fabulous. I wish I had half the creativity that all of you do!

I bought a brother sewing/embroidery machine in November but have only sewn with it. I'm really nervous about the embroidery part. Today I downloaded some Mickey applique head designs from one of the bookmarks (awesome job with all of those btw!).

I don't have any PE-design or software though and I'm not sure it will work well without software? I do have a UBS stick capability and downloaded to that and have the Mickey head up on the embroidery machine screen. I suppose I can stich out the head on stabilizer and then use that as my outline for the freezer paper/fabric cutting pattern? Is that what would be recommended?

Thank you for any help you can give a beginner!

I contacted the seller of the Donald Duck applique just a week or so after i purchased the first one. He/She said she had no more and wasn't sure where to get another on.
For those not familiar with the awesome pre-made Donald Duck applique I tripped upon on Ebay last summer.

I've been searching for this ever since! I got excited when I saw your post, but sadly it seems like no one knows where to get more of those!

Oh my goodness gracious, these are all just too adorable! It's too cold for that up here, but next time we can get to Florida I must find this pattern! Good point about the bleach pen, too. I keep one in my purse, one in my car, and even one in my pocket on days I feel especially vulnerable. Not just for my kids, either. Sometimes they're neater than I am. Anyway, works great on white. So does that spray 'n' wash stain stick stuff. That can be for colored fabric, too. I'd have to throw away so many cute outfits if it weren't for those two fail-safes.

If you were talking about my kiddo. No he is still in his Peg. I don't plan on taking him out just yet. I will need another seat when I do, so I'm getting my 2yr old a new seat instead and moving my son when I'm reading into the Britax BLVD. I'm going ahead and buying it when it goes on sale. I extend Rear face too. So he has a few yrs looking back at his sisters.

I mentioned taking Lilly out of her Peg Perego infant car seat in the near future. This infant car seat is for babies smaller than 30 pounds and thirty inches in height. Although she is nowhere near that weight or height they get to be too cumbersome to lug around so I will put her in a convertible car seat - the Britax Boulevard. She will still be rear facing though.

Anna I will be praying for your SIL.

Thanks for the information about the car seats. I think that I will keep Jen in her current car seat until I can get her a nice one that is more size appropriate. Where can I find the car seats that you guys recommended? I want to get her the 5 point harness. My worst fear is that something is going to happen to her while she is in the car and considering how preventable that is I would never be able to live through that.

I know someone already responded but I really like www.albeebaby.com. THey usually have pretty good prices and sales. Free shipping too if you spend over $100 and with car seats that is pretty easy!

Ok, ladies. I hope this questions doesn't sound too bizarre. My oldest is 6.5, 48 lbs and about 48". He is riding in a booster seat but I am going to look into to putting him back into a car seat like the ones mentioned. His brother and sister are in Britaxes: a Marathon and a Boulevard. We origianlly moved him to a booster out of a 5 pt. harness because he was complaining about his private parts being squished (and it being painful). At the time we couldn't adjust the seat we had to make him more comfortable. So, I guess what I am asking is that does anyone have any boys in these seats? Is there enough room "down there"? Thanks for your help.

WIth three girls I have no idea about that but I would think that with the bigger Regent and Frontier there ought to be more room "there".

On the subject of car seats. My neighbors are in their early 50's and they had a surprise baby come along. Well one day the dad, Jose, is in his SUV fighting with Rosa's car seat. He saw me come outside and he asked if I could help him. He didn't have a clue of how to put the car seat in the car. So I showed him how to put the car seat in the car and how to tighten the belt up real tight. Then he looks at me and he says, "We did not have to use these for our other children." It's funny how times have changed. I don't think that my mom had a car seat for any of us children. I definitely don't remember her having for my little sister, but I can't imagine Jenna without one. It kind of scares me.

Early 50's and they are having a surprise baby! OMG, if that happens to me, someone please come and shoot me! Can you imagine how exhausting that would be to have an infant in your fifities! God Bless them!

A little late, but I made it here!!!

Also wanted to share that dh and I are finally DVC owners at Bay Lake Tower! We have been wanting to buy into DVC but dh really wanted to wait until Bay Lake Tower was for sale...and with the current incentive, he figured we should go for it! I am so excited, and we get 5 night stay at a 1 BR villa for our next trip...so we are staying at POP for 5 nights, and at Beach Club for another 5 nights. Kirsten will turn 6 during our trip and she requested to stay at POP century.

About car seats, I have both my 5 and 3 yo in a Britax Marathon. I think I might upgrade Kirsten to either a Regent or Frontier sometime. I don't feel comfortable with her riding in a booster, so I am keeping her in a 5 point harness.

I am very jealous! DVC is my long term goal! I think I would love BLT but we stayed at Beach Club and  it! Have a great trip!

Steph - the jeans turned out really cute! Love them!

It's clearly a New England thing.

My friend adopted a lab from GA yesterday (she's was in a foster home in NH). I was wondering if she was one of yours.

Hmmm, do you know if she adopted from my rescue? labs4rescue? I know theres another gal in our group who handles some GA dogs, but they are more northern GA, and I have a couple ladies about an hour or more south of GA and another down on the GA-FL line. But she gets a fair amount of adopters from FL.

I know we just adopted to someone in NH and in ME- so its possible..

Right now I have 3 chocolates, a female and 2 males, all in CT and a black lab who we just got whos still in GA, waiting for a new england foster home to volunteer to take him.

I need opinions please:
For Austin who is 13 and AJ who is going on 9 I think. Or is it 8 Well any way what do you think of these?
They are going on a MAW Disney trip
