Well, Thank you very much. That means a lot coming from a chick with great taste!! I know can you believe the hair. I cannot get it to stop growing. I will so miss the coordinating days. :(

My girls are 3 and 5 and still like to coordinate so I am hoping that my days aren't numbered. I would bet that 5 days a week they are wearing matching outfits. And on the days when they aren't matching they argue about their clothes. They always want what the other one has so it's just easier to match!

And I wanted to Thank whoever gave out the website for Sweet Soles! I already placed an order. You should have put an enabler alert on that! I wish I had found out about that sooner! Something tells me I'm going to be a frequent customer! Now my DH isn't so happy about it though :rotfl2: !

I made this outfit for one of my gives but I am not too sure if I like it

That's very cute.

I can't wait until my old cheap machine breaks so I can get a really nice one. I won't be able to justify it to DH until then, though. Love this machine ... oh the possibilities...

Ok, I finally made something for my boy. I made this fleece robe, and I used Carla's Easy Fit Pants for the pants. It was next to impossible to get him to hold still long enough to take some pictures:

The pants went together super fast. Only hitch was I forgot to add the cuff before sewing the pants together. I had to add the cuffs afterwards, which was fine, but it would have been much easier to do it first like you're supposed to.

:cheer2: Love the Little Man PJ's :thumbsup2 He looks like he is modeling them!

I have to say I love this outfit it looks great to me. :flower3:

I found this show on PBS it is called Jane's sew and so. She is great today she helped a teen boy make some cool board shorts and DS said I'd wear those. Here is the link to her website.

Linnette, I like it the way it is. I wouldnt add anything and the letters on the pants I think are fine. I also think the drawstring and elastic is the way to go- its how they are when you buy them and I think its nice to have the extra security when getting on and off rides (in case pants catch on something) they wont becoming off!
I vote to leave them be!

Didn't mean to scare you! I don't even have a brother! But it is kind of funny now that I think about it and see how you saw it! Sorry!!

:lmao: I always call my machines my little brother and my big brother! When I threw the 3rd in the mix it messed up their names!

I made this outfit for one of my gives but I am not too sure if I like it

Linette, you are just like me, always overanalyzing! That outfit is FABULOUS! Send it as it! In fact I love it so much and Dallas is always asking to go to the "big aquarium" (Sea World), I might just have to case it and toss in a day in February to go!

I am pretty sure this show isn't in our line up. I am constantly looking for a fun sewing show, but hard to even find one anymore. I used to love watching on HGTV, even though she was a little boring sometimes. Of course we don't have HGTV anymore, but I know that last time we did the show was gone and just the craft/quilt show was left.

I am going to check out the website right now!

WHat about using the portrait peasant pattern instead? I am sure I have seen some Wendy customs that used it. Maybe someone will post one...

I FINALLY made it over. And everytime I got ready to post, there was more and more pages to read! You girls are way to chatty! I am finally caught up, and I have absolutely loved everything that has been posted. I don't have any sewing to show (I am mad at my fabric store for having zero selection so I am not in the mood to sew), but I made a hair bow holder today. I was so much fun to paint!
th_SSL21740.jpg

That turned out super cute! I was browsing the bookmarks the other night and thought about making one (I have no idea why). I also want to try my hand at bow making lately.

Hi Everyone,

Love the bow holder - so cute!!
Hmmm Frankenpatterns are always so interesting!! Ive never tried doing that before.....

Here is Hannah's round neck dress to match Elizabeths Rumba....kinda wonky, but I hope will do - still need to do buttons...Im thinking little hearts?

Wendy, I love how you think everything always looks wonky! This is no wonkiness what so ever on this! Super cute. Love the zebra fabric.

I am sorry and have no advice about the machines. I didn't even know you could adjust bobbin tension. :confused3

This isn't my creation - I pulled it from the Disboutique photobucket account. It is a Wendy portrait peasant dress. Thought I'd post it so you could get an idea.

I just LOVE this room with the border and the paint colors! Some day I am going to case it! but the only room I can figure it out for is the basement and DH says no to painting it and it is a HUGE room and the darn border is so darn expensive!

BTW, travelingal made this and it was super fab! The whole family dressed up and was adorable.

I finally made some crayon roll-ups. Twistable crayons for the littles and twistable colored pencils for the bigs. I need to buy one more pack of crayons. They were easier than I thought considering I had to adjust measurements for different sized stuff.

I knew you could whip them up! Dallas was a bit disturbed that he would not be able to see Wall E as well while coloring! :lmao: Kids are the greatest!

Well back to :coffee: . I really gotta find a warm drink that I love. I put way too much sugar in tea and hot chocolate just seems like pure sugar. Coffee, never! :scratchin Any ideas?

Oh and I laid out the first outfit for our trip in a couple weeks to sunny Orlando. :beach: Don't worry, I'll :wave2: goodbye before we leave.
But getting a bit anxious to get :drive: except I don't have one shirt to sew one and keep changing what I am making! :scared1:

I should probably stop playing around with the :) and do something right!

My knowledge of Chinese New Year comes from that really annoying show that my oldest (Grace now 5) used to love Caillou. It was her favorite forever! And he whines and whines and whines. Anyway, I remember them saying when they celebrated that they ate the long noodles and they had to clean their house :confused3 . I really think P.F. Chang's sounds like a good idea to me! Anything but cleaning my house!

I am on my second brother machine. I hope this one lasts longer than a year! Since I don't sew that much it doesn't seem like that is too much to ask!

Sounds like what happened to me! So really, how much should a good machine cost? I haven't ever really priced one, just curious. And praying that my Brother doesn't die!

Somehow I missed this until someone quoted you about your machine dying. Sorry.

I TOTALLY agree about the cleaning the house thing! UGH! BUT, maybe it would be a good way to get my DD to clean her room? :rotfl:

As far as the cost of a machine - my Baby Lock decorator's choice was $800. There was a model just slightly below that was $600. It was a good machine as well, but it didn't have the thread trim function on it, and I really wanted it. I've not had the first problem with it since I brought it home 5 months ago. When I had my brother, I had already had it in the shop by this point.

Help Needed Please.

This is my first frankenpattern and I am not sure if this will work. It seems easier than I think that it is, which is where I will run into trouble
My DD3 wants a Wendy custom for our DL trip. I have a regency pattern that is extremely detailed and I would like something simplier. I found this pajama pattern that seems pretty close to what I want to do. I am thinking of making the top (view c in the second photo) from the pajama set but altering the length to make it a gown length. I would also like to change the sleeve style slightly by placing a wider elastic at the end (no ruffle at the end) to give more room for poof in the sleeve. I may also do a Daisy Kingdom style poof insert inside the sleeve if it won't poof on its own. What do you think? I could really use some advice.

Oh I watch that and Nancy every Saturday morning...to the point that Tim will have it turned on for me when I wake up!:rotfl2: He will watch it with me and ask lots of questions...shhh don't tell! Actually, watching sewing with Nancy is when he decided I needed a new machine last year and a good cutting table. I thank Nanacy everyday for that!

Has anyone heard from T-Beri? I was thinking of all the people who have disappeared over the life of this thread and remembered she hasn't been around. I know she wasn't feeling well but I hope she is better now. She is missed.

I finished another outfit for our trip!:cool1:
I don't know if I will have any time to get anything else done or not! The time is ticking away, and I have to work extra next week so that I can have the time off!
Vida with Jeanne's spin on the back! I was going to put Tramp on the back, but I didn't have any grey fabric in my stash.
