I was thinking of making my t-shirt pink with the pink Mickey flowers and having DH wear a lime green shirt to coordinate. He does not want the Mickey flowers, not sure why though.

Stop bragging! No...I can't complain we have had three wonderful days of 70 degree weather here...yes...that is after we had snow last week....gotta love NC! The only state you have to run your heat and AC in the same day!

THanks!! I used some fleecy quilty stuff that I could cut into squares - this was to make it heavy and warm - for my first one i actually used an old flannel sheet!!! its very light and so soft!!!

Thanks for all the comments on the quilt!! Its going through the laundry again right not to get it even softer softer softer!!! I love all those cute girly rooms!!!! They' re ADORABLE!

Thanks for all the prayers. Right now, it's a little calm. We are due for more weather in a little while. They are just releasing kids from school! They popped up so sudden! They were about 20 min west from me, and they always travel northeast!

So we still aren''t out of it just yet! So it looks like a long night! NO SLEEP FOR ME!!!!!!!!!

Keep your fingers crossed for me, DH called me today at work and said that there is convention in Orlando Sept 16-18 that his boss wants him to go to. So of course DD and I would tag along, and make a week long trip out of it. Just have to save, save, save so we can go. Hubby wants to stay at the hotel of the convention (Shingle Creek?) looks nice on the website but if I go to disney, I want to stay in one of the onsite hotels. Oh well, we'll see if the convention goes through, but I sure would be happy to have a vacation ticker !!! Then I would have something to do with all my new fabric !!!

Keep your fingers crossed for me, DH called me today at work and said that there is convention in Orlando Sept 16-18 that his boss wants him to go to. So of course DD and I would tag along, and make a week long trip out of it. Just have to save, save, save so we can go. Ok, I really need to not surf the net... I have been looking at purse patterns online and I came across this tote.......

I think I love it
This is the description...
Roomy and totally cute tote bag pattern with 4 outside wall pockets and 2 roofed tower side pockets. This tote bag is big enough for a binder or some books, water bottle, umbrella, etc. or as a "royal" diaper bag. Finished size is 13" x 14".

I may have to buy the pattern, but after a buying patterns from YCMT I thought I had sworn off paper patterns

Oh, and in the details for the castle bag, they suggest printing family pictures on the photo fabric and using them in the windows....

That sounds like the weather here. It got in the high 60s on Saturday and we had snow yesterday and today. It didn't stick around long but it's still much too cold.

I'm just out of Little Rock & it's supposed to be here around midnight. Of course, dd5 heard this on the weahter is got all concerned about tornadoes & the power going out.

Thank you all for the prayers! The weather has finally passed over me. The kids are in bed! Now I can start planning my day tomorrow. I'm going to be checking out another school for DD4 for next yr. We had an unfortunate thing happen in her class. I"m not happy on how the situation was handled. So now it has me looking around! BUMMED, because I thought I had it all figured out!

She's out now. She's had a stuffy head & cough for the last couple of days so I gave her some Benadryl. Added benefit - she's asleep & isn't likely to wake up unless it gets really loud tonight.

Thanks! It was definitely my first. I felt a bit like a goober double checking every step as I went. I was convinced I was going to mess it up BIG time. SO nerve wracking. Hopefully now that the first one is past I can muster up the courage to try another.
