I'm baaaack! Labor and delivery only lasted 2 hours. Wahoo!!! He is just perfect and we are all doing well. Thanks for everyone's prayers and well wishes. I have lots of catching up to do around here, but what I've seen so far looks beautiful.

I bet Dallas would love that!

Also, here is a little Vday outfit I made for DD4. I did not get any pics of her in it today and unfortunately she puked all over her outfit this afternoon. We had just gotten to ballet and she got really sick. :( She was unbelievable bummed and asked me if she could wear it again soon. I think I can :laundy: it and we will be all good!:thumbsup2

I did a triple layer skirt with an appliqued tee. I was so frustrated with my applique last night I took my machine in again. The repair guy said there was a lot of little things wrong. Last week they told me to use better thread. I am skeptical that everything is fine. I have a pretty intricate Jaq and Gus I am starting tonight so we will see.

Wow That was fast! I had a C-section so it is amazing to me how fast they let non C-sections out of the hospital! Congrats again and I hope you get some good naps:goodvibes

CONGRATULATIONS!

I only had 7 1/2 with my first one DD29(soon to be 30) and 3 1/2 with DS27. I glad everything went so good for you.

Oops! Aimee, I forgot to quote yours, or well comment! I was too involved in myself! That is so cute! Your applique looks great! I am interested to see Jaq and Gus. I has a plan to do them but I think the plan is off!

Was it Sophee that got sick on it? I hope she is feeling okay. I know you'll wash it right up and wouldn't doubt if she wears it tomorrow. Did you find the other ballet slipper?

Thanks! Hannah was the one who is sick. Hopefully it will not spread. Yes, we found the missing slipper. It was under the bed. :) Hannah is in ballet right now and Sophee will start up again this summer. I need to find a class of some kind for Soap but I am not sure what.

I cannot wait to see what you come up with for Sea World. :)

I have been a long time lurker on this thread. I just finished my first skirt tonight:cheer2: I have no where near the talent you all have but I thought I could give it a try. I decided to stick with a "simpler" item first. Our first trip is in May so I thought I could try a few things. Here is a skirt for dd 14 mo. for AK.

Yeah, I'm probably crazy and it'll probably pass. But while I'm searching for useful things I can make instead of buy I'm coming across some GREAT ideas.
This isn't a free pattern but it is the CUTEST ring toss I've ever seen. It's by Heather Bailey. I can't wait to make it!!! And I bet a few of you fabulous seamstresses wouldn't even need a pattern (those of you who know me know I NEED a pattern)
SP003-HS-2.jpg

I have that pattern! I thought it would be great to make for DD (now 13 months)... I bought the pattern pre-sale (got 15% off!!), and once it arrived I read through the directions, put it in my pattern drawer, and haven't thought about it since. I need to pull that out again. I'm sure I have enough scraps/FQ/fabric to put one together.

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to do Bert, Ernie and someone else, but right now that is better geared for San Diego where they just redid it and put in all the SS stuff. I REALLY REALLY REALLY probably don't have time to do them the way I want! Hmm, I could sew the quilt squares I have onto the shirts! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!! What did you name him? and when do we get to see some pics of the new angel?

I guess I should not mention that Elmo and Gang are here in Orlando too. They will not be appearing while you are here this time. They are here during "high season" times. I have an "in" with Elmo and the gang LOL

Hi Dis Family! So I am coming for some insight and inspiration! I am gonna whip something up quick for Georgia's birthday on Saturday!! Some of you know I broke my ankle the first of the year so I have been sittin on my bum since then. But I am gonna get out and get up and sew something. Maybe make me feel better. Since....... I broke my ankle we won't make our trip to Disneyland for The Peach's birthday!! I Know talk about heart break kid. Good goin mom right?! But hopefully for my birthday in May.

Anyway. Hope to keep checkin in Miss you all!

I'm so happy!!:cool1: All of my BIG GIVE outfits are done. I will have them in the mail on Friday (that's when I'll have time to do it). I will post pics of everything tomorrow. I left the camera in the car. I was supposed to trash my DH's friend's car today and take pics of it, but I couldn't find the window paint in time. We will be doing that tomorrow. He is a fanatic about his car being clean and he is always pulling pranks on DH and their other co-workers. So this is his payback. I can't wait to see his reaction.

I think that is a fantastic first project!! Good for you!

Congratulations on the new baby!! Wow, that was a fast delivery.

On the quilt, if you dry it with jeans it helps it to fray more!;)

I can't sleep - got a lot on my mind - so I'm sewing.

I'm working on that dress for Clara Schumann (several pages back- page 32 shows a picture of her).
I need to make a bustle on the skirt.

HELP!

I'm making a very full skirt and it should have a very full bustle. I don't even know how to start making a bustle. Any ideas?

I thought you had an "in" with Elmo. See, that is why I think the shirts would be better suited for San Diego.

Can't wait to see pictures! I am sure everything is amazing!

Great skirt! I bet it is so tiny! You can't tell from the picture exactly.

Congratulations on the new baby! ....and the fast labor! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
