I can't help but feel guilty since I was the last to see it, but I did everything right! I put the fridge back in the box and labeled the box, the top of the fridge and the plastic bag all with the next swappers name, address, phone and check in date. I called bell services to come get it and I personally walked it back to baggage services where he gave me a claim ticket and put one on the box and I left. My husband cleaned out my car about 2 weeks after we got back and he threw away the claim ticket which I thought was fine since I hadn't heard anything about the next swapper not getting the box. And now the fridge is missing!?!?!?! I hope no one blames me, it was such a nice little fridge and it did us so well. It's a shame that people who signed up for the swap couldn't at least send anyone an email or phone call when they decided not to get the fridge..sigh
It's sooooo not YOUR fault!!
Here is the latest scoop:
A DIS'er was signed up for my swap
and another swap (2 fridges) for multiple rooms.
You left the fridge for her and bell services, because of the claim ticket, forwarded it to her room for her so it was waiting in the room upon arrival.
She get's her wires crossed and tells me she got it but lables it with the next swappers info who is part of the
OTHER swap...she never could find her other fridge. Then when OUR next swapper looks for it and can't find it, she contacts the swapper before her, who tells her that she never found/got the fridge and therefor didn't change the name on the box.
In reality she didn't get the OTHER fridge but got ours instead and didn't "notice" the markings on the box as being specific to THIS swap. So, it was labeled for the folks on the other swap, picked up and used once again. They too labeled for the next swapper from the other swap, which WAS on
my OTHER swap but switched when my other fridge went "missing" (it still is missing). When she looked for it, it was GONE.
Here is what I know:
Fridge was left on April 26 at the SPORTS bell desk with an older "cuban" looking male castmember at 9:00AM. It was labled with 2 names for a grand gathering. The last names on the box were Cater and Springer who were staying at the MUSIC.
It could not be found by the Spinger/Cates families on April 28. Is has LIME GREEN DUCT TAPE, DISNEY STICKERS and signs that read JUST KEEP SWAPPING!
I am soooooooo frustrated being sooooooo far away and feel like we are soooooooo close to tracking it down, but where????

I surely feel that the fridge HAS to be at either Sports, Music or Lost and Found and hope that Disney will step up to the plate and take some responsibility for "losing" it in the 2 days between swappers!! I will send you a PM next.
