What a great first day you had and Mike is wonderful. The oatmeal is only offered in the winter at WL. Enjoy your stay!

We booked a bounce back for December when we were at WL last February. We enjoyed coming back that time of year. :goodvibes

Yippee for the BB! I'll post your dates.

Thank you! We found traveling to the parks to be much different with an 8 year old than a 7 year old. More sass than magic, I guess. But we all seemed to get along when we were at Wilderness Lodge so that's what convinced us to bounce back.

Kook, we met Randy on this trip and I told him that I have read many kind things about him on the Dis. He seemed very flattered and said he hasn't had much time to be on the boards lately himself. He had the greatest smile and always made us feel so very welcome at the Old Faithful Club. I'm so glad we got to meet him.

Beautiful view! Thanks for sharing all your live trip updates! It is helping to distract me from this never-ending winter!! By the way, please don't edit your post!! I laughed out loud picturing you grabbing some drunk by the pool and bringing him/her up to your balcony! :)

Lol!!! Maybe I grabbed too many drinks :)!!!!!!

Saturday was Epcot after a quick breakfast in Roaring Forks! Walked on Test Track, Mission Space and Spaceship Earth. Then headed to The Land for a coffee while waiting for our FP on Soarin!

By that time world Showcase opened and we lunched in the counter service part if Mexico followed by a margarita at La Cava ( yummmm ).

DD wanted a pic with Belle in France which Just Happens to be right next to ..... Grey Goose Citron slushes :).

Shopped around took in a few shows and then had dinner at Via Napoli. Very Good once again !

Grabbed a caramel or two before calling it a night. Love coming back home at this wonderful resort
Fabulous Day !!!!!!

Amazing, I felt like I was there too the way you described it:goodvibes

Also I get so annoyed with autocorrect. However mine never creates as much fun as yours.;)

So today I read my editor's picks email from Amazon books. I had to laugh at one of the books in the children/teen's section.

The title of the book was

Hi, Kook.

It immediately made me smile and think of WDWKook here on this board.

I would've thought the same! :thumbsup2

So we were hoping for maybe a 7th month stay for one night at VWL before our cruise in October, like we did last year, but it was a no-go, all booked up. It would have been nice to try the room post-refurb. Oh well, we ended up at BLT instead. Still in the same neighborhood!

And here is DD with the Famous Disboard Jess spending the day together !!!

Snow Day for everyone here in NoVA today. DD is making cappuccino-hazelnut brownies to fortify us for all the shoveling later when the snow ends. I think at this rate, school might not end till July:rolleyes2

Unfortunately, the sass, etc… can occur at all ages, (don't ask how I know this:rolleyes2). Sometimes vacations can be overwhelming and bring out the worst in all of us (and the best). But you're right, once you're back at the Lodge, everyone calms down and you can hit the reset button:)

I'm glad you met Randy, the OFC manager. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his staff. He and his staff really take pride in their job and it shows in how happy the guests are and how often they return.

I heard they now have a "Big Gulp" version of the GGS;). What a great day you had.

That's too funny, PamelaKay, and now I have to go check out this kooky book.

I would've thought the same! :thumbsup2

Still Bay Lake so all is good and what view did you book? Maybe you posted to the BLT/CR thread so I'll check there so I don't go too OT here.

And here is DD with the Famous Disboard Jess spending the dat together !!!
Since Jess's epic thread ended, I've been in withdrawal. How fun it is to have her and your DD (and Peter, too) gracing the pages of this thread:thumbsup2

Taking advantage of this quiet day at the office to check in. :goodvibes

It's funny, I was sure I would be WFH today as the forecasts calls fore a foot of snow in Northern NJ Friday. That soon became half a foot, down to a couple inches...to waking up this morning without a trace :rolleyes1

Not that I can complain, we have had more than enough snow this winter, if only the bitter cold would follow.

Still enjoying all your updates - Can't wait until we are back in October! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who is enjoying the updates. :goodvibes

Even though we have had record breaking cold weather this winter, it seems like the East Coast is getting it worse than we have. :sad2:

Could you add me to the roll call? We were originally going to stay at CR but I just love WL so much I couldn't :)
We will be there Aug 23-30. I have all my dining reserved and cannot wait!!!
:yay:

So, I asked this question on another thread (that deals with FP+ and other tech type questions) and no one has responded, so I am hoping for some advice here.
When I go to My Reservations on My Disney Experience, my resort res and all 5 ADRs are listed. When I go to My Plans, the 5 ADR dates have little lines under the corresponding dates on the calendar. When I click on the dates, my ADRs show up in My Plans- except for one! ( my Raglan Rd.) When I tried to add it, I got a message that it was already associated with another guest. (Yeah, me!) I am not too concerned because I have all of the ADRs, my res numbers, and all members of my party listed in My Reservations. However, once I get closer to my FP+ date mid June, I am going to want to make sure everything is listed in the My Plans section. So my question (finally!) is, do I just ignore this for now and call in June, or do I call them now? Thanks for any advice!!

Sunday Funday!!! Breakfast back at Roaring Forks. I had the boring boiled eggs and fruit while DH had the best pancakes !! Have you guys tried them? So much better than the normal counter service pancakes !! Headed to AK, Everest was down :(. So we walked onto dinosaur, then visited the gorilla Trails.....so many gorilla around!!! This one must have also picked up too many drinks at the pool bar ;) Used our FP on the safari, it was amazing to see all the animals out! We then shopped around and decided on lunch at Flame Tree! Really good choice. Had a Mandarin Vodka Lemonade that was so darn good! After lunch it was Finding Nemo for our first time ever. Pretty good show! Still prefer Lion King, but I'm glad we watched it :). FP time for Everest, then more Animal Trails. Decided to do single rider for Everest 2 more times, cause why not ???!!! Ended the day at Boma, again a first for us. Great wine and really good food.

I am about to call to book our package. As far as room requests go I want to say "Inner courtyard view, opening to lobby -OR- king bed room with bathtub". What do you think? Is this being too specific? Too confusing? (I realize requests are not guaranteed, would just love to get either of these rooms types if possible.)

I had a similar problem with my ADR's last Feb. There were all listed in the website, but didn't all appear in the app. I didn't worry too much about them since I had the email confirmations, could see them on the website, and most importantly, when I called Disney, they could see them. When we showed up at the restaurant the reservations were in their system, although several of them showed up under our daughter's name, instead of mine.

We saw Finding Nemo for the first time on our last trip. We enjoyed it but agree that Lion King is better. It looks like you are having a great trip. The weather looks like it is lovely. :goodvibes

We check in next week...yikes!! Can't believe it! Time has flown by....any WL must do's???
Take some time to explore the resort. It is really gorgeous. :)

There aren't too many inner courtyard rooms that are also open to the lobby, maybe just 16 rooms that aren't club level. But those have a great view. :thumbsup2 There aren't a lot of rooms with a king bed with a bathtub, and I don't know where they are. :confused3 So, I would request whichever you want the most. :)

Lost here. Why wouldn't a room have a bathtub?

I know that both room types are a long shot, lol. That's why I figured maybe I should mention both when making a request?

I just checked the invoice today, apparently im a guy! They wrote Last name/first name/ MR, do u think i should email/call to get it fixed? Or is it no big deal? Hubs thinks its funny but i dun wanna waste time dealing with stuff when we get there!
